A very nice filter. So far I cannot complain. It does not seem to produce sun flares or any other noticable distortion like cheaper filters will.

I would not recommend it to a friend, I bought it to use it for taking shots of the ocean against the rocks, well when I place it to Max it does not close the whole disc black but does a star shape so that in the picture the corners are blown out and it gives a lot of cross-polarization. I was told it is common when you buy variable density filters that are not fixed. I just bought and received the Image ND 2 4 6 replacement filter kit and worked much better for me for what I was trying to accomplish. updated - Oct 27th - I am told that to use this filter it is best used at a 90 degree angle of the sun, that is you place your sholder facing the sun then stick your arm out in front of you at that in 90 degrees to help with flare and cross-polarization.

I use a uv filter to protect the lens, but sometimes you get glaring if pointed near the sun as expected as they all do unless its coated. Good lens.

I bought this filter to use in bright sun light with flash without always having to use hss.

This ND filter set is a must have for your DJI MINI Series Drone. They fit well and are easy to install. The kit comes with 6 filters. All made of metal not cheap plastic. The do not interfere with gimbal operation and allow for beautiful pictures and video. The last three pictures were taken using the ND 32 one facing the sunset one looking just away from the sun and another facing away from the sun all taken in with in 2 hours on the same day!

I used this filter to test the Gopro10 video with a lot of sun... It works as expected and I can get a good level of exposure and at the same time little bit more motion blur... Good product at a.good price. Raccomended for sure... Next time I will buy the "day kit" with more different filters. The material is robust and easy to mount. You can rotate the filter to add the polarization. Happy.

Once I purchased several of them, I ended up purchasing an another set. I am still surprised how well they charge up with the sun and then you bring them Monday night 3 to 4 in the bathroom lights up the bathroom so much that you feel like you have to turn the light off, I use these going down the stairs which is perfect instead of using electricity we definitely use the midnight time as though we had solar lights in the house and boy it is a savings on the electric bill. I give this a four-star all the way around I will let you know that I have dropped these multiple times and I am shocked of how durable they are after dropping off , the stairwell getting the sun outside it is definitely worth the purchase. My sister love them so much that I bought her a set. She’s very happy with it. You do not need a night light in your house. When you have these lights you can easily set them on any standard anywhere around and then just pick them back up put them out in the sun and you got your night light at night time perfect gift gifts

There isn't a whole lot to say about this filter, it's just perfect for what it is - and an incredible bargain...I needed a protective filter, 77mm diameter and I took a chance on this from Vivitar. - The one thing I can do with any filter is check if it is "flat" and I do that by making "sun spots" - reflecting the sun into some shadow area as far away as I reasonably can, onto some plain, light wall or whatever and I want to see a circular and symmetrical "fuss-ball" with no "funny artifacts" and that's what I got...from both sides of the glass...so it's a "quick'n'dirty" check for flatness...But the best test - and the reason I got this second filter from Vivitar - was some shots taken with the full moon as light source of a scenery that included many bright street lights, with a very wide angle lens...if there were problems - this is where they should have presented themselves, but there were none. Both lens and this filter performed perfectly - no glares or reflection where you really could have expected some...so, there is nothing to complain about.Add to that that the metal ring, holding the glass is very thin, yet solid and well made and you've got "Five Stars"....
