I won't make this review lengthy, because it's all been said before, but I will qualify myself by saying that I depend on photography for approximately half of my income, and I recently purchased this lens after many hours of online research. I own a Canon 7D, and I was looking for a lens that would fall into the wide/portrait range with the 7D's 1.6x crop factor. This lens was bought as a replacement for my old Tamron 28-75, which was a respectable lens. The Canon 17-40 has thus far been a very solidly built, light, fast-functioning lens. It autofocuses VERY quietly with its ultrasonic motor, and the autofocus is very accurate. On the 7D, I have found it to be a capable portrait lens at 40mm, as well as a great lens for interiors. I bought it as a complement to the Canon 70-200L, for a lightweight kit, and while I am missing the 41-69 focal range, I haven't really needed it. The lens produces VERY SHARP photos, and is much more reliable in quality than the Tamron. I would definitely recommend it to 7D users wanting a versatile walkaround lens, or to full frame users looking for an ultrawide with great sharpness.

This lens adapter fits my new canon eos M50 to my Tamron and irix and sigma lenses that I got before this camera. They all fit ef-s mount for the rebel t6 camera

Sorry about all the photos, it is an awesome lens!! I've owned a few Tamron lenses and loved EACH one!! The Tamron 18-400mm EF Canon mount lens is a great lens, BUT this one I think has a LOT better glass! I am new to Fujifilm and I am still getting used to the X-T3, I had a couple of the Fuji XC lenses and finally I saw this lens here in Amazon. I've been trying to find it other places and everyone was backordered!! I AM VERY HAPPY I FOUND IT HERE!! Great..... NO, AWESOME lens!!! At 18mm the lens will focus at .2 inches, that is 5mm. At 300mm it needs to be back around 2.5 to 3 feet. That is farther back than when I was using my Canon and Tamron 18-400mm lens, I will need to get used to my Fuji and Tamron 18-300mm lens. BUT the photos are MUCH better!!! I HIGHLY recommend this Tamron 18-300mm lens!! I just can't say enough good things about it!!! (hehe I could post several more photos, close focus/macro is great!!)

This adapter did the job! I can now use all my Canon, Tamron and Sigma lenses on my new Canon m50.

I had the Tamron lens for almost two years and it made me so disappointed! 90% the indoor pictures was out of focus and blurry.The Tamron lens only took good picture outdoor. Within these few months I bought three Canon lens and they all meet my expectation. Today I received my first L lens and I was totally happy with the result. I will say 60% the pictures was sharp with detail, 35% was acceptabe and maybe 5% was blurry during my randomly shoot.This lens was focus fast without hunting the object like the Tamron Lens with the loud noise.The Tamron lens made you like a fool when you took picture with the peoples in a low light environment.This Canon lens consider a bargain with a great result. My camera was Canon T3i and I used a 27 inches Samsung monitor to view it.

I use this with my Tamron 28-75 for Sony a7iii - the primary purpose is for shooting 24fps video with 180(ish) rule for shutter speed (and some occasional long exposure shots).. i also have a 3 stop ND, so if it's still too bright I can throw that on too (i live in south Florida, so the sun can be pretty bright quite often).. ideally I'd have a high quality variable ND but just can't spend the extra $ on it just yet.. this ND has served its purpose quite well, it feels good, looks good, and makes my vids (and photos) look like they should. I haven't experienced any problems yet and am quite satisfied with the quality this filter brings at such a reasonable price. Also a plus that it comes with a case and lens cloth, can't be mad with this purchase
