I really like this extender, yes it is not the same has having a 400mm but it gives you the flexibility that I want.I use it with my 70-200 2.8 II and it works great.If you need a dedicated 400mm then just buy that, but if you want the flexibility of once in a while converting your 70-200 to a 140-400 or whatever other lens you want to use it with, then this is a great solution.I would definitely recommend it to a friend!

This UV filter has been a great addition to my Tamron 35mm for my sony. This filter is definitely more of a protector than a modifier at least in my use case, it helps to protect the exposed focusing mechanism of the lens and makes sure that no dust or particulates get into the lens. Overall I would say that this is a great filter to put on any lens as it adds a barrier between the front element and the world, and I didn't notice any negative effects on image quality by having this filter on the lens.

A little fragile feeling. Using a Sony a6100 with a Tamron 17-70 which is under the max payload and it’s scary to have the arm extended. Feels like it’ll snap at any moment. It’s very good as a mini tripod without extending.

This was a replacement for my Tamron 2.8 / 70-180. Fits and looks just like the original. I like to keep a spare one in my bag just in case I lose one while on a shoot. Also fits my Tamron 2.8 / 28-75

I picked up the 82mm for my 24-70 2.8 and I got used to it and loved it. When I went to use my 70-200 2.8 without this VND for a surf shoot, I almost got sad at how different and negative the affect of not having this filter was. So here we are picking up my second and it's a great investment in a quality product that produces amazing photos!

Abbinato al Tamron SP AF 70-300 F/4-5.6 Di VC USD permette di proteggerlo da eventuali graffi o spruzzi d'acqua sulla lente. Le immagini non perdono qualità rispetto ad un uso dell'obiettivo senza filtro applicato. La struttura del filtro non è plastica quindi non vi sono pericoli di sfilettatura.

Even for 70-200/2.8 there is no better place to hold your camera.

I bought this filter for a Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5/6 Di VC USD telephoto lens. The filter was rather 'dirty' with speckles of dust and some mild 'grease' stains unevenly distributed across the filter area when I got it right out of the box! I managed to clean the filter successfully using a lens-pen without scratching it (phew...). However, I'm not sure who's the culprit.. the manufacturer or the seller (Overstocks Closeout). For the benefit of doubt, I'd still rate it 5-star as it isn't a big deal and the filter (after being cleaned) does it's job effectively without any signs of 'ghosting' in the photos I took so far (at least > 100 since using it).
