Great Filter
I keep this filter on my main 18-55mm lens on my Sony NEX-5R. I have never had any issues with it. I've taken out in the snow, rain, and dirt/dust. It has never scratched and has been great for protecting my camera and enhancing my photos. I have a pack of these threaded filters and can only stack two before the vignetting gets too severe. This is definitely essential camera gear to have!

"Also Bought" Correction
Though I am just learning to use the camera I am fully convinced that it is a superior product.NOTE, however that the web page images of items "Also Bought" incorrectly includes a 55mm (diameter) Tiffen UV Protection Filter. This is not the correct size for 18-55mm focal length lens! You need 58mm filter size for this lens and also for the 55-250mm focal length lens. This misleading situation lead to misordering 55mm UV and Polarizing filters that had to be returned. Since these were gifts, the distant buyer will get a refund, or replacement filters(?) instead of sending replacements to me. I think filter size should be shown next to the camera to assure that buyers order the correct accessories, 58mm here. I do not know whether this problem repeats on other camera models.

Ritz Gear is Great
This filter is to use on my new Nikon 16-80mm DX Zoom. There are less expensive as well as much more expensive filter available but I went with the Ritz Gear 72mm UV filter because it was described as "super slim" and I wanted the thinnest one I could find. The Ritz Gear UV filter is indeed VERY THIN and once threaded into the lens it barely sticks out yet still has the outside threads to accept a lens cap or even another filter. The glass is SCHOTT Glass and is crystal clear and the front element of the Nikon lens still looks like it isn't even covered by a filter. Great filter at a Great price!

Seemed slightly small!
I am using this bag for my Nikon D5000 with only one 18-55mm lens. It should fit another lens, but I am not sure.

Good product for the money
I first purchased the K&F Nano Series filter for one of my lenses. I believe it was for my Nikon 80-200mm F2.8 D ED lens. That lens produces really sharp images at distance and is not a close focus lens, even noted by Nikon. I bought the lens used and it came with a beat up UV filter. I was getting ghosting and when I removed the filter the ghosting was significantly reduced. I ended up buying several more for my other lenses. I also use B+W filters too. Well made filters as well, but a little more costly. The K&F is by no means a $100 filter, but for the price it does what I need. I especially like the nano-coating that resists grease and water. Worked well when I was photographing at the beach. Easy to clean the sea mist off without smearing. We really do not need UV filters anymore with digital since UV does not interfere with the sensor like it did with film. I simply use them to keep from having to clean the front elements of my lenses all the time. I feel reducing that to a minimum will prevent potentially scratching the element. I know there are a few schools of thought on this topic, but I just do what I am comfortable with. From what I read and can tell the filter is glass and not plastic, which is nice these days. I have them on all my lenses now and happy with them.

works great
This filter works great. I have used this filter on a Nikon 18-70mm lens and have produced excellent pictures. I have yet to experience any flare with this polarizer. Great polarizer for a great price.

A lens saver!
I had this same UV filter on my Nikon lens, and thanks to it, the lens survived a drop onto asphalt lens side down! Both the lens cap and this same filter were on the lens when the camera hit the ground. The lens cap was damaged and the UV filter shattered and its outer rim dented but, thankfully, my excellent Nikon lens survived! I carefully removed the broken pieces, blew tiny broken fragments off the lens, then cleaned it with a microfiber cloth and all is well. But since the filter rim is damaged I can’t get it off the lens, not even with a lens wrench. However, I was able to get this new filter to screw onto the dented rim of the broken filter with a little effort. My lens is protected again and this will work until if and when I can figure out how to get the damaged rim off my lens. But the lens is protected now so that’s the main thing. My advice to everyone is NEVER be without a protective filter on all your lenses. They don’t interfere with picture quality, and if you want to invest in pricier glass filters, go for it, just protect your equipment from dirt, dust, fingerprints, smudges, and, like me, potential disaster!
