Bought these as a gift. Wide angle lens not as wide as I would have liked.

still use this lens a lot. still love the wide angles!

To use a sports metaphor, every camera generally needs a single lens to run the show for most of your shots, the "walk around" lens if you will. Obviously you have your other lenses that help with the truly specialized shots, but you need a quarterback, and this lens is it. After weeks of reading and research, I purchased this lens and boy was I happy. A very high quality lens that won't break the bank. I've already used it to shoot still pictures and digital video. I haven't noticed the softness around the edges the way some of the other reviews have. It works well enough in low light that the F4 isn't a worry and the extra bucks for the 2.8 isn't really worth it unless you have a lot of cash to throw around. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, if you're looking for a great overall lens for your DSLR, this one is the one to get, considering it's price, it's a steal, a great well built piece of glass that will last. All I can say really. Also, ordered it on a Tuesday and chose standard shipping, and it arrived on Thursday, can't beat that!!!Update: For those of you who are wondering if this lens is wide enough for filmmaking. ABSOLUTELY!!! I can understand how someone shooting landscapes may not get quite enough wide from this lens, but it's more than enough for cinema. Still loving this lens!!!

I have a Panasonic G7, and it supports it without a problem, even with my lens and light attachment. I have bought several other camera stands that have a desk clamp and they just can't support DSLR cameras. The quality of the stand is metal and seems very durable. Great buy in my opinion.

EF - Lens adapter perfect for wide angle and other type of lenses cheaper than the viltrox, and better to use since it is from Taiwan and made in japan i rather buy japanese and taiwanese products and support them since their quality is greater than Chinese, i support it since they actually are more detailed on the manufacturer and the way they actually do the diagrams and cuts are precise but i know the quality is even stronger and more durable than chinese cheap brands. Love japanese quality and brands.

There's unavoidable vignetting on every shot with the wide angle - with or without the case. Also, only the center of the photo is 100% in focus. Things get gradually more blurry the farther out from center of frame.This may be an issue with the pixel 6 but I also tried it with a 3xl. Could just be the way gcam takes pictures but I can't be sure without testing it on another brand of smartphone.Other than that though, it's a solid lens and I'm happy! Wish it came with a telephoto and ultrawide angle/fisheye lens as all these "non-moment" clip-on lenses do. I'd say buy this AND another one of those third party kits that comes with all the extras. I have a feeling the quality is pretty similar between all of these manufacturers.If all you want is a wide-angle and a macro though, at $45 this kit is a sure bet. It doesn't get much better than this without spending a butt-load more money. The next upgrade is the $120 Sirui kit that comes with 2 extra lenses plus a better system for switching them - but again that's almost 3x the price.
