Buy this lens today. You'll thank yourself.
First off, if you're a pro with a bag full of $2000 lenses, you're probably not interested in this, the 2nd least expensive "L" lens.Secondly, if you're going to compare this to a bunch of $2000 lenses, you're barking up the wrong tree.My guess is the typical buyer of this lens is someone who is taking their first tentative step into the world of "expensive" glass. This lens is made to order for you. It simply blows "ordinary" lenses out of the water. If you're used to the kit lens that came with your camera, or a 3rd party lens you got for $150, you are going to love this lens. You'll find yourself taking more pictures, taking time to frame your shots and basically caring about what you shoot. This is a lens that is far more talented than you are, and you'll strive to rise to its level.I cannot say enough good things. The sharpness ROCKS. The saturation and contrast are absolutely fantastic. The focus is instantaneous and silent, and usually dead on. And the red stripe looks really cool! :)Its heavy, and built like a tank. If you're looking for a lightweight, this ain't it. It is lighter than most other "L" lenses, however, and not too bad to carry.Drop the 700 bucks, and go out and take some serious photographs.

Great bang for buck
For the price I don't know if you can beat this lens. I have a $2000 24mm-70mm lens, and for portraits, this $100 lens is just as good.

Lots of attachments!
Super value for money. lots of attachments for almost every conceivable way you want to use a GoPro. Not really any instructions so takes some time to figure out and the instruction sheet consists of one double sided page of many phots that is hard to read. I scanned it and enlarged it so I could read it. The selfie stick works but I suspect it may fail if used to often although I do not plan to use it much since we have another fantastic selfie stick (but it cost almost as much as this whole kit). the case is great but the foam insert doesn't really seem to serve much purpose. Overall very impressed with how many things we got for a good price - chest mount, head mount, wrist mount, several helmet mounts, handlebar mount, tripod, selfie stick, and I am sure I am missing several.

Awesome prime lens!
The best and cheapest prime lens. Ofcourse other prime lenses that are like $500 or $2000 are better but honestly not by thaaat much. This lens is like $150 and it really does the job. Bokeh is great and I love how much light you get from such a huge aperture. The lens came undamaged and properly packaged!

Excellent Camera
This is an excellent camera for all users such as me. I had a Yashica camera with film. For years I was resisting to get into the digital world. Now, with this camera, I am totally sure I was too late to change. It's an excellent image with those 12mp.

Money saver in the long run
Works really well for my 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Better then having to get a new filter every so often.

Sports necessity
I'm still trying to find out the best possible mount for my needs. I'm also still learning how to use the product for my needs. It is super simple to operate.

Q
I am going to Europe in September. What power adapter can I use to charge these batteries?
A
Any USB charger will do. As long as it accepts European voltages, your phone charger will work. Super handy if you want to charge while driving.
Q
Is there a lens cap that works with these adapter rings?
A
I doubt it: not because of their diameter, but because they are super- slim so no obvious place for a lens cap to attach to. This said, they screw on and off with minimal effort, so I take them (and the filter system off) off before transporting the camera to a new location.
Q
Will this work on my sony a6000 and tokina minolta 100-300mm macro zoom?
A
Yes
Q
Too loose/there is gap between lens and adapter ring
A
  1. If there is ever any more than a slight amount of rotational play, you may want to try tightening the lens mount adapter so it will hold the lens tighter to the mount. There are 3 flanges in the middle of the adapter (what the lens locks onto) that are split open slightly, this gap is what gives the tension that holds the lens tight to the body. Over time and with use these gaps decrease in size, no longer pulling the lens tight to the adapter, which allows the lens to move inside the mount more than it should.
  2. To tighten the fit, get a slim metal object (a #1.5 or #2.0 small flat eyeglass screwdriver is ideal) and insert it into the slit to open it up just a little bit (see images below, make sure to do it to all 3 evenly). The more you open the gap, the tighter the lens will be to the adapter; too much and the lens will have a hard time mounting so make sure to do it just a little bit at a time to all 3 flanges evenly, it doesn’t take much at all to get a tight fit.Note: please do not use too much strength, or the shrapnel will be damaged.

Q
What kind of rear and front caps would I buy to go on this since it doesn't come with any?
A
I don't think you need any. There is no glass.
