DJI Avata 2 MCUV Filter UV Protection Filter with 28 Multi-Coated DJI Drone UV Filter

I am quite pleased with this compact set of ND filters. They provide the most common set of 4 filters for everyday use for me. I am not a professional photographer, but these 4 filters cover exactly what I need for my shots.
I like how this set fits onto my A2. They are not hard to snap on, but they are harder to remove - which I want, because I have had other brand filters get knocked-off my gimbal before by simply running into tree leaf's. Not with these (so far) ;-)
This set comes with a nice plastic carry case, with a custom fit foam carrier, which makes it easy to pick the filter out of the case without getting fingerprints on the lens. Nice. And they include a lens cloth, but there is no provision for storing this cloth other than on top of the filters.

Thought to clip on and off the camera but take your time they snap on nicely. Gently but firm in clips them the same way. They do a great job and are great value, really Helps reduce the suns glare on bright days. Comes in a storage box to keep them safe. Good value and quality.

They fit well, you have to use a little force but not too much, there is no problem holding the camera, they stay well fixed.
They come in a semi-transparent plastic box with a small cloth for cleaning, the box has a small tab that ensures a good seal and that the filters do not fall out accidentally or during transport.
Inside are the filters perfectly fitted in a kind of soft foam (photo attached) with a small cavity to house each of the filters.
I would buy again for the quality-price ratio

As the title suggests, these filters work great on the Avata 2. K&F makes great filters and I have several of them for my mirrorless cameras so I knew glass quality and coatings were going to be good.

The filters come in a nice plastic matt case that I prefer to the glossy ones as they get super scratched dry quick. A little microfiber cloth is included but unfortunately, once taken out of the little plastic bag it is exposed to the elements so I wish manufacturers started including a reusable bag or envelope instead.
Removing and storing the filters from the case is very easy resulting in fewer fingerprints.

Talking about fingerprints, the multi coating applied makes them extremely easy to clean. To be fair, I had no issues with any of the other brands as well.

As you can see from my other Avata 2 reviews, I have tried a few other brands and run upon some issues that made me return them. So far, these filters are a great fit, extremely easy to put on and off and do not produce any unwanted crazy reflections, there are some of course, depending on the angle of the sun on the frame but at the same level as their competitors.

The filters are made of plastic while other brands are made of aluminum. I generally prefer aluminum or brass for filters but given that the DJI’s camera gimbal attachment notches are also made from plastic, I believe it should be better to avoid damaging the soft contact points.

The one thing that I really like is that the design is similar as the (as for today back ordered) official DJI filters. In practice this means that I had no issue installing or removing the filters like with some other renown name brands that needed extreme force to install and - especially - remove them, risking damaging the gimbal on the long run.

And this leads to my second big issue: as you can see from the uploaded images, other filters that follow a different design with a little “handle” on the top. The size difference when factoring bother ends of the filter (top and bottom) is minimal. However, this couple of extra millimeters basically make contact with the gimbal cover due to its angular design, tilting the camera downwards and, as it has no real space left, it gets pushed backwards inside the drone body. The Avata’s gimbal seats on some rubber dampers and I am convinced that this amount of stress could eventually damage them. So 5 stars to K&F for fit.

Closing, the filters weight 0.7gr compared to other known brands that weight 1.2gr. Although negligible, less is more in the case of a 3-axis gimbal.

The Avata has only been out for a couple of months so the only filters available are a few sets from manufacturers such as Polar Pro. PP is good brand but it can be on the high side in terms of cost. These ND filters from K&F Concept are a great alternative. The set includes ND 8 through ND 64 along with a UV filter and a polarizing filter. The filters snap on tight, so tight in fact that they can be a little hard to remove until you get used to them...an instruction sheet included in the package might help this. On the other hand, I appreciate that I won't worry about loosing the filters in flight. The quality of the filters are good and it ships with a lens cloth...nice move! The K&F Concept Avata 2 Drone UV PL ND Filters are a great value for the money. Get a set, you can't go wrong.

K&F Concept Avata 2 Drone UV PL ND Filters Kit (6 Pack)

Pros: Filters snap on/off good on the Avata 2, didn’t notice any imperfections on my set, and they worked well for my application.

In use: before taking my drone out in the field I wanted to test out a few of the filters in a controlled environment. It was after 5pm so it wasn’t very bright, but I could still see the effects of the ND8 & ND16 on a swimming pool. Without the ND filter, I can see the distortion on the top of the water from the wind blowing, and with the ND filters (8 & 16), I could see through the water and the leaves in the pool were more visible.
Also, since it wasn’t very bright outside and the ND filters lowered light input to the sensors, the details around the pool patio, and the foliage lost detail. I could have entered manual mode and made adjustment to compensate but I wanted to keep things basic.
This is a good test for someone to get an idea of what ND filters can do before you waste valuable time out in the field.

Overall, these work well for me.

Complete set of Avata 2 ND filters, at a reasonable price.

These filter snap in place and feel secure.
- Good quality, metal frame & lightweight.
- Glass is crystal clear & sharp through the camera.
- Fitment is perfectly snug not loose. A little tricky to remove?
- Allows full articulation of gimbal, doesn’t bind etc.
- Gimbal cover can be used after use w/o having to remove filter.

This set is more than adequate to cover most lightning environments. Personally using UV filter as my default for added lens protection.

K&F Concept makes good quality filters for cameras, and these are no exception. Each filter weighs nearly nothing and doesn’t affect the Avata 2’s gimbal. I didn’t notice any vignetting in my recorded videos. And most importantly, I also didn’t notice any reflections in sunlight.

The ND4 through ND32 should cover most lighting situations. The UV filter can also be used as a lens protector as it doesn’t reduce the light coming in by much.

I’m happy with these filters.
