These speakers have the best high end and midrange of any computer speakers I have ever used. The problem with most small speakers is that you cannot understand what people are saying when you play movies. Often male and female actors are more or less understandable than the other because sound is not reproduced accurately at all frequencies. this is not true with these speakers. At other times the music and effects are much louder than the actors because certain frequencies are much louder than others. These speakers are flat and sound good, eliminating volume fluctuations dependent on the type of content.The base is created, as it always is with small speakers, using cabinet resonance. The port in the top of the speakers means gives a rich, but not overpowering sound. By using the port and not the speaker case for much of the base resonance you do not get specific base frequencies that are louder than others, as is the case with most small woofers.However, if you place these speakers under a shelf, the base will be overpowering. In such a case I recommend placing the speakers on their side so that the base can project into the room without interruption, or hitting a hard surface.You can get speakers that have more base (rattle a subwoofer), and you can get speakers that have better tweeters, but you cannot get better speakers that provide a good flat accurately produced sound and are this small. .

I’ve always been a fan of JBL speakers and so far all of the speakers I’ve bought including this one are really good.

I bought this gadget because I didn't want to go through all the converter bs I saw online in order to use my external speakers for my PS4 that is hooked up to my PC monitor. All you do is take the headphone jack plug from the speakers (that you would normally plug into your computer) and plug it into the headphone part of the Adapter (the green part) and then hook that baby into the USB port in the back of your PS4! The sound quality is not perfect, but it is good enough to blast Monster Hunter World while I play with no feedback and/or glitches! I'll take what I can get, and it's only 10$. That's a steal compared to all the adapter plugs and whatnot that would have cost me 30$ easy.

I received the speakers as of May 9, 2020 and as of June 29, the right speaker will not play when in the stereo pairing function. Not sure if I’m doing anything wrong but if I can’t figure it out I’ll have to return themUpdate: Cambridge Soundeorks contacted me with a link to update my speakers firmware, fixing the problem. 5 stars

Great speakers for outside. Big, rich sound for the price point. I look forward to enjoying these speakers all spring, summer and fall.
