The Akaso v50 pro is a nice camera that does a lot for your money. It is not a Go Pro, but you don't lose much and you save money. It does have a learning curve, but relatively easy to master. There could be an explanation of what the accessories included are used for. There are so many different ones that is can be a bit confusing what they all do.Overall though I like the V50 Pro and glad I got it to use.

I purchased another Akaso Camera for a trip for another trip and it worked great. For the price, you can't beat it.

Picked up this camera during Prime Day and have enjoyed using it to capture my fishing adventures! It's small and compact and has quite a responsive touchscreen. I have had some interaction with Akaso's customer service and found them to be very responsive and accommodating to my questions!

 We received a review unit to test out, but this is my honest opinion. The first thing to know is that this is not going to get you the same quality as a much more expensive action camera, but I was impressed by the quality of video captured in sufficient lighting. I've included a sample video at the highest resolution it can handle. The noise you're hearing in it is from the tire on my son's bike, and the wind, of course.The camera comes with a waterproof case, a carrying strap, charging/USB cable, and two mounts - one for a bike or similar,and one that can be stuck onto something like a skateboard. It comes with foam tape to stick the mount on, but you will need more if you want to be able to mount it elsewhere. It does not come with a memory card, so make sure to include that if you're giving it as a gift.In addition to taking regular video, you can take pictures (with or without cartoon props/sets, time lapse, and slow motion. It does best in a well-lit situation, so I wouldn't get this for someone who wants to create indoor videos. Daylight really worked best.We found the Action Cam super easy to use, and you can play back your pictures and videos on the camera itself. There are some games on there, too, but my kids mostly ignored those. I've seen some people ask about ages. My kids are 8 and 10 and both like it a lot. If you're getting this for someone who is very serious about making videos, you might want to splurge on something more expensive, but this is great for kids and teens who just want to play around. It's well-built, so you don't have to worry about it getting destroyed. In fact, I'd take it with me if I were doing something that I wanted to capture like ziplining.

I purchased this camera as a last-minute item to take on a cruise. It arrived with the tabs on the waterproof case broken. I emailed the company to see if it was possible to receive a replacement in three days before we left on our trip; it was not possible. I was able to purchase a replacement case with Amazon Prime that arrived before our trip, and Akaso reimbursed me for the cost of the replacement case within two days! Not many companies offer that level of customer support!The camera is a great entry-level action camera, and it comes with many accessories that cost extra with other brands. The video and picture quality is good. I look forward to using it for our various excursions during our cruise.

This is the first action camera I have ever bought, so I don't have much to compare it to, but it is very impressive. It has 4k at 30fps, a touch screen, wifi with smartphone control, two batteries that have each been lasting a couple hours, and lots of accessories. I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on my first camera and then need to spend even more on mounts and batteries and other necessities. The V50 Pro fits the bill well.The camera is not perfect. Certain activities like skiing or biking need stabilization beyond the built-in EIS in order to have smooth footage. It's okay, but if I upgrade at some point, the money is probably better spent on a camera with better stabilization rather than spending $100-$200 on a gimbal. The menus are a bit confusing to navigate through at first with the waterproof housing on (touch screen controls unavailable). The phone app sometimes crashes. Connecting the remote control was confusing and required reading the manual a couple times.That said, I can deal with those kinds of issues, especially given the price. The video and photo quality is excellent. The camera has features that I never would have expected at this price range. Very happy with the purchase overall.

My wife and I are going on a trip soon and I looked into getting a GoPro to capture all of our adventures. We decided that we didn't want to spend so much on a camera that we would only use on trips or special occasions. So I did some looking around and found this gem. We have tried it out in different lighting and locations and overall the quality is exactly what we were looking for at this price point. Can't complain!
