Connection Restored
The product arrived well packaged and in lightening speed from Amazon. With a new laptop but existing large external screen the VGA was no longer suitable sober needed a HDMI version. We plugged it in and without any alteration to settings on the laptop began working at the right aspect ratio. The product is well engineered and the sockets fit very snuggly into their respective ports. Would definitely recommend this product.

Great in every aspect
It just gets a tad bit hot sometimes. This is the ONLY problem that I feel is there.

Great hub, but has some room to improve
This is a good and affordable USB C hub with PD except if you have an ultrawide monitor.This literally was spot on for things I looked for, without unnecessarily many other stuff, at the best price point you can find on Amazon.There's 2 HDMIs, Gigabit Ethernet, a USB2.0 just for the inputs and more.While everything looked great on the spec sheet, I found a problem when I first plugged it in.This unit doesn't play well with ultrawide monitor's native aspect ratio. It can only do up to 16x9, 1920x1080 instead of 2560x1080.So, if your monitor is off of 16x9 ratio, just stick to the onboard output on your laptop for that monitor.Another minor issue.It gets hot, not warm, in use, even when the laptop is on trickle charge.

Zero frills active converter!
I’m currently using this to capture an arcade game outputting at 640x480 in combination with an HDMI capture card and it works incredibly well! There are some diagonal lines that move across the output image though, but they’re not extremely noticeable unless the image is relatively static and/or dark.The best thing about this device is that it does not stretch a 4:3 image into a 16:9 image in its output. It will keep the original aspect ratio in the converted signal.

Surprisingly this works insanely well
I bought an OSSC in an attempt to play older games on my newer TV. I was able to get it working but had issues not getting the correct aspect ratio, and also had issue even getting a picture at all when trying higher resolutions. After fiddling with the settings for hours and getting frustrated I figured I'd try buying this as a last ditch attempt to get it working. I had very little faith that it would actually solve my problems.So it comes in my mail, I plug it in, and it just magically makes everything work instantly! I was super surprised It cleaned everything up without having to mess with any more settings and fixed my issue with the aspect ratio without even having to do anything. I have nothing but nice things to say about this device.That being said I don't know how well it works when upscaling for newer consoles like the switch but If you're intro retro gaming this is a must have and is a fraction of the price for true upscalers like the DVDO or a Framemeister.
