Makes a Good Compact Stand
I ordered this stand a few days ago. It does fold up into a nice compact footprint. Manfrotto quality. I am looking for something to carry around and have it lightweight for my assistants (my fiance or my daughter) to be able to carry or hold comfortably. It is called "Nano" though and it is nano - It is very lightweight and compact. I haven't opened it all the way, as I haven't had it outside yet. I imagine outside you will want an assistant holding it or weigh it down with something, as the slightest wind could probably take it for a ride. It doesn't seem cheap, just light. It should last a good while. I paired it up with these items and will probably get more umbrellas, lights, etc as time and need dictates ...

Cracking bit of kit
Bought to update a 15 year old Manfrotto which was bought to provide a lighter alternative to the then 20 year old Manfrotto TriAut tripod.I researched the market in case there was a better alternative but decided to continue my 30 plus year relationship with the Italian manufacturer.Beautifully crafted to a fantastic design this will be used on a day to day basis in my role as a Google Photographer.That the other two Manfrottos continue to be in daily professional use probably tells you everything you need to know about the build and quality of materials used.I also know that Manfrotto have an efficient spare parts service when I abuse the equipment beyond the norm.This is an absolutley cracking bit of kit and deserves it's 5 star rating.

Not as useful as my imagination lead me to believe
If you have the money to buy exactly ALL of the right things, I could imagine this being more useful than a dust collector.

Strong materials, versatile.
Manfrotto is always a sure purchase.I bought this to fit the manfrotto video head pro, is of course perfectly fitting.Amazon delivery always top.Recommended.
