I've never owned a genuine GoPro before. Instead, I've had a couple of knockoffs that I use to record track day coverage. I've had the cameras strapped to the outside of my car, inside to the windshield and all over the place.I'm definitely not a professional so I can't provide an expert opinion. What I can say is that I did view quite a few YouTube videos for guidance on how to set it up and how to use the camera. These videos with tips and tricks were very useful.Here's what we liked:- The features are great, the stabilization is so good- Because it's such a popular product, there are tonnes of OEM and Aftermarket accessories, I've purchased the media mod, some mounts, a gravgrip (so cool), an aftermarket remote and a couple other gadgets.- I find it simple to use and the support from the community is really good.- So impressed we were with the camera that I signed up for the GoPro online account as well.My daughter just got her learners permit to learn how to drive, I will be now using the GoPro as we go out to drive so if she makes a mistake she can watch it back. There's so many uses for action cams, it's fun just to discover new uses. I think that's the best part of the camera, it's really fun to use.What didn't work that great:- Auto upload doesn't work all the time when I plug it in. It will eventually work but it's not as seemless as it should be.I know about the overheat issues that plagued even the previous models. But my videos are generally short clips so I haven't experienced this just yet. Some of the guys that I go to the track with have experienced it with previous models as well. Our lapping sessions are 20-30 mins each so I'm hoping it's not an issue when it's time to test in the summer. Now, in the fall it's not been an issue for me.Overall, having the real deal is been a way better experience than the knock offs where I was struggling to connect external mics and find accessories.

Cool cam for the price!! Sweet picture quality and great video quality. Get the app "live dv"and you are on your way. Comes with lots of accessories.

this camera is very good for cheap thrills, love the remote control feature, it has high end features like wifi and EIS, for the price it is a great option to have for those shots that could mean a lost cam or damages to the cam.its fairly easy to work with as well.its also pretty comes with 2 batteries and ton of extras.note the batteries are not compatible with a gopro 6 I already had but its still a good deal.good for diving or of roading etc. also light!

This was a gift, very well received. It has been through freezing rain and bright sun. No leaks or water migration. Battery life seems really good.

This cam is a great deal for the price. Good video quality and image stabilization. I like the other cool features video options.

 The only thing is I can’t watch stuff on Netflix, Disney, Amazon etc. The only thing I can get to work is the PS4 while on PS4 I can watch all those apps. Picture quality is really good and easy to adjust.

The app works well once you realize that you must turn off any vpn on your phone or tab to connect it. The app could not find the network with the vpn on my phone on.
