Beautiful lamp and it’s perfect for reading. My previous lamps were a bit bulky and old fashioned. These sleek gold lamps modernized my space.

I like the look and it is as promised. Easy to put together and provides good light. It has a tap point that changes the brightness level. The arm that holds the light could be a little tighter. My lamp droops slightly but is not unsightly. I use it for a side chair that is not used often. Aesthetically pleasing.

The shape, color and function of the lamp is beyond question. It works on all fronts for me. It's not very tall, which is perfect, adjusts and swivels in all directions, dims and brightens very well, and has a very pleasant to touch on/off switch. It's sleek looking, not too shiny, and sturdy.My only complaint about my particular lamp is that it came with one assembly mismatch - the coupling that connects the lowest section of the stem to the next one up is different size from the opening of the adjacent stem section. The opening is slightly larger than the thread of the coupling, which made it impossible to put the stem together as is. I didn't want to mess with the return and replacement, so I added duct tape onto the thread of the coupling, thus making it thicker, and that seemed to address the assembly problem (I may regret my decision later, probably should just exchange the lamp). The other two sections of the stem connected just fine, and it was obvious that the coupling piece looked slightly different there.I do recommend that you inspect the lamp upon receipt and make sure that all couplers fit well with adjacent stem sections.Color is lighter than it appears on the photos. It's not quite the shiny brass, but not "antique" brass either, it's somewhere in between.
