They look real
They look real. I let my brother, who had real ones, said they looked real but don’t feel real and when you shine a light on then it’s kinda murky. They came kinda scratched. They do kinda disconnect easily but they’re comfortable and the quality in the audio is good.

Hype is real
My skin already looks radiant and clearer after using this. Even under makeup my skin finally shines through; it radiates. I’ll never go without it again.

The real deal
I had a set of Altec speakers for my computer when I was in college. I bought them because they were very inexpensive and I was a poor college student. But they were totally decent speakers for the money. No complaints whatsoever. Eventually I grew out of them and was able to afford more expensive, hi-fi speakers for my computer setup. So I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Altec.Fast forward a decade, and now they offer this veritable beast of a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. It’s not the dirt cheap price I bought my computer speakers for back in the day, so I was certainly curious to know how this would stack up to the many many expensive, high-end Bluetooth speakers on the market today. The sound quality is pretty darn good. Not Bose or Sonos quality, but 9 out of 10 dentists wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. The lights are fun when you’re having a party or just feeling in the mood for a light show. And best of all, you can turn the LED lights off entirely! Save that battery. Some Bluetooth speakers I’ve used don’t give the option to turn off the lights, which is insane. But maybe the coolest feature on this model is the Qi wireless charging pad built into the top of the speaker! Why is no one else doing this?? Come on Bose and Sonos, time to up your game and add a charging station on top of the speaker. Such a great feature. The only drawback to this speaker, and it’s a weird one, is that whenever you turn on the speaker, a voice says the brand name out loud. Very strange. I haven’t been able to find a way to turn that feature off. A chime or beep I would understand, but a voice actor saying “Altec Lansing” is just unnecessary.Altec has definitely upped their game over the years. They’ve come a long way from the $15 computer speakers I bought in college. This is a Bluetooth speaker on par with all the other big players in the game.
