For the price the speaker does its job.It's lacking bass but if you adjust you device sound settings you may get a farely good thump. Just be mindful that this is not a boom box and you will get a distorted sound if the bass is too high, plus you run the risk of burning out the speakers. All else is excellent.

After trying a few cheaper ones from Amazon that sounded awful, I ordered this despite the audio Limiter complaints in reviews. At first,it sounded great, until the limiting started kicking in. I downloaded a 10 band eq app for my Android and cut the sub bass frequencies and it sounds amazing without the fading up and down. (See photo)The tiny speakers can't reproduce sub bass frequencies so it doesn't affect the bass.Anyway, it worked for me. I listen mostly to classic rock, metal, and electro-pop. The setting in the pic is for classic rock which usually has less bass than metal or hip-hop, so I cut the bass a little more for my metal. The app I used allows you to save presets. This sounds100 times better than the cheaper speakers I tried. Hope this info helps !!!

Excellent speakers. The only reason I gave them a four star rating is I was hoping for a little more bass at a very low volume , which I probably won't get with any speaker on my deck. Still having said that they are awesome. I just turn up the bass more on my receiver.

Having used a 2.1 Altec Lansing pc speaker system which finally developed a short after about ten years, I decided on 2.0 speakers and after reading a number reviews selected the Creative T20's. I use them exclusively for my PC in a home office, so I was willing to trade some bass for the simplicity of not having a sub-woofer, These speakers have met my expectations, especially their accurate and very enoyable mid-range performance (voices sound great), and the balance of mid's and treble is spot on. The highs are clear as well. My first impression was that I could tell that the lack of a sub-woofer made a difference, but after spending a week with my T20's, they have won me over. They do extend their bass more than typical speakers of this size due to their design. The speakers are pleasantly balanced, although there is a deficit in the depth of the bass compared to my 2.1 system. I pretty much expected this, but had hoped for a little thumpier bass. However, at the significant discount over brand new for "barely used" speakers via a third party seller, I know I got a good value. If I had it to do over again, I might have paid more for the Creative T40's in search of just a bit more bass, but I so thoroughly enjoy the mid's and high's on the T20's that I look forward to enjoying these speakers for years to come, and they are a little more compact than the T40's. For my computer desk top in my home office the T20's do the job very nicely. If you really need more depth/thump out of your lower ranges but are married to a 2.0 solution, stepping up in the GigaWorks T family of speakers is probably worth the investment.

I bought these for Father’s Day. Wonderful gift but honestly, for the money the bass could be a lot better. My dad still uses his boom box stereo because of the better bass. The general sound of the speakers is kind of flat, but like I said, they serve their purpose. LolOh but the lighting effect is amazing! Really cool. 10/10 for the lights

I have had this speaker setup for 4 months now and I absolutely love it. These speakers can hit high, mid, and low range sounds with amazing clarity. The two speakers can supply a surprising amount of bass by themselves. When paired with the subwoofer, you get a very deep and pure bass. I can't compare it to nay other high end speaker setups because this is my first but I don't see how you could get any better for this price range.

These speakers are loud with great sound quality. Ignore all of the “no bass” reviews. These people don’t know how to properly setup subwoofers. You need to find an enclosed space or something for the air to bounce off of. This subwoofer has tons of bass. The volume adjuster is a very nice touch. Great quality & packaging. Would definitely recommend.

Way better then my factory speakers in my 1997 Chevy Z71 pick up. The sound quality is pretty good bass is ok but again if you want that bass to hit you’re going to need to install a amp and sub and you want that heavy hitter sound. But well worth the money for a upgrade sound from factory.
