These speakers hit a home run in one specific use case: Giving them to sales guys for presentations on the go, or quickly and cleanly setting up a station in a conference room. The sound is adequate if a bit tinny, but great fidelity is NOT required in that use case, and the power over USB more than makes up for it, especially at the bargain price. The size is small enough that they can be stuffed into briefcases that better ones couldn't, though there are even smaller non-USB ones out there. My sales team and A/V guy love them, mostly for the lack of power cord, portability, and small footprint stored away.I got the first set free with a Logitech Desktop set, and brought them into work; after that, I ordered a dozen more. One set failed right off the bat and had to be exchanged, but the rest are working like a champ. They don't noticeably drain the laptop battery that I've noticed, so the drivers are pretty good. Of course, they pretty much don't work in anything but a PC running Windows (or a Mac) - don't expect them to work on Linux without some tinkering, but the latest release of Ubuntu for sure includes drivers, and pavucontrol can be installed in other distros. Unfortunately, they don't work on my Asus Transformer or any Android tablet at all, nothing happens when plugged in to the USB slot.I would never consider these as gaming or entertainment speakers, they're strictly utilitarian and one step up from built-in laptop and PC speakers. Buying them for a home office or gaming rig would be a huge mistake. The specs actually specifically mention "notebook" several times, rather than PC, for a good reason.

Great variety, reliably well mixed, and awesome box. This keeps our coffee drinking interesting.
