Bought this for my 5-year-old son, who is interested in astronomy. Didn't want to get him a "toy" telescope that he'd outgrow, so looked for a reasonably priced "real" telescope that (size-wise) would be suitable for a child, and one that the whole family could also use. This telescope is perfect! It's a good size and height for our needs. My husband and son have used it, and my husband is very impressed with it's magnification. High quality, especially for the low cost. They've been looking at the moon, and my husband has been reporting back all the great views and detail they are getting (it's been too cold for me to attempt to go outside yet, lol. Sorry, I'm not standing outside in 15 degree weather).We go camping about 3 times a year, which was another reason I purchased this product. It will be perfect to carry along with us!

The telescope was a hit for our 10 year old grandson. Pleasantly surprised how well put together it is.
