Get it for the camera quality. not the microphone
The camera quality is great and taking pictures with is camera is great to. However the Mic is not useable at all. It’s far to quiet to pick up anything. So if you have a separate mic you can use to substitute it. I would highly recommend this webcam

Akaso V50 Pro. Simply a Great Little Action Camera
I was in the market for an action camera, but couldn't see spending $300+ for a GoPro. For the most part, I understand the GoPro is the gold standard. But, for 1/3 of the price, the difference is close to negligible.I considered this camera against some of the other top 'lower budget' native 4K cameras and decided on the Akaso V50 Pro. Once it arrived, I took it for a trial run by shooting 4K video inside and outside. I even tested it out by shooting underwater video in my koi pond. I couldn't believe the clarity and detail that I was able to capture in each environment. I was blown away by this little camera.Indoor recording was very good. Outdoor recording was exceptional. Higher contrast was more noticeable in sun/shade captures, but still very good. The underwater videos were incredible and pretty true to what the eye would see.I'm also glad this camera has the touchscreen feature. It's super handy and the menus are easy to understand and navigate. The included accessories are also nice as part of this deal.

Very practical and compact. Fits neatly into the vent. Great value compared to other products on the market.

Unique place in the market
Image quality, even in daytime is very mediocre. Ok. That said, you will still really like this camera if you 1) want a set it and forget it device. 2) Basically want to see what's going on, but don't need super sharp images, just reliable information. 3) Love the idea of not having to go to the camera to get your pictures, and like the idea of them arriving on your phone or in your computer's web browser. 4) Are thrilled about not worrying about batteries! So basically, this covers the cellular reporting, and battery replacement (not needed) issues at a fair price. Customers service... well Ive never had a problem reaching a human. I never get anyone on Chat. The website is good but takes getting used to. The phone app is also good. Plan to spend a little time getting up to speed but I think this (aside from image quality) is a great product to keep track on a location and not worry about batteries or visiting the unit to pull micro cards out to read the images.

Perfect gift
My son has made alot of videos with this action camera while racing bmx. He's crashed with it on his helmet and it's stayed connected ti the mount the whole time.

A good alternative to much more expensive recharge
The light is bright and works as intended. A good alternative to much more expensive rechargeable units on the market.

Cheapest one in the market.
Did not want to but $100+boom arms, so I got this instead. Other than a the big logo, this arm does its job!!!
