I have seen some reviews that praise the software and I have seen some reviews that absolutely hate it. To me it is easy to use, and the camera is great as well. If I were to do it all over again I probably would have stepped up to the BRIO, but that is just me. My one complaint (or two) is that the USB cable is fixed to the camera so if you need a longer one you need to buy an extension, and that the end of the cable is a USB-C. I am running on an older laptop and I do not have a USB-C port so I had to find an adapter. Now this would not be an issue if the USB cable was removable from the camera as I would be able to plug in whatever other cable I had lying around. That being said the picture quality is great at 1080 at 60 fps on full settings. The auto focus is great and even works well in lower light situations. This camera like others will certainly benefit from quality lighting as the software does not need to work as hard to make things look right. An open window or a desk lamp seem to do the trick for me. Mine sits on top of my monitor, however it did come with a tri-pod that I could use as well. All in all a very solid little unit. I would use in a quiet place if you do not have an external mic as this thing seems to pick up sound from all over the place (good and bad depending on what you are doing). I would recommend it for sure. Actually bought one in white for the wife's laptop as well.

The picture quality and sound is perfect, I also have notifications sent so any motions detected send me a notification to my phone. I absolutely love this camera and it’s priced great for the quality and all it does.

 The camera has wonderful clarity and the detail level is very good. The B&W photo attached was taken in complete darkness.The different color palettes you can choose from make it very useful and the way you can blend the thermal and optical images at different intensities is amazing. There's one photo of my heater with no thermal and one with no optical. The no thermal still points out the high and low temps. The no optical is completely heat driven. I added a couple more in different degrees of blending.The star of the show though is the software that comes with the camera. You set your palette and blending on the camera and take a picture. But once you load the picture into the software, you can change the palette and blending anyway you like. All the data is apparently there and the software lets you check the picture out in any variation you like. Once you see the best way for whatever you're doing you can then adjust the camera to the same settings so it's more useful for that task. The attached video is an example of that. I just got it today, read the manual, and can use all the features. Love it already and I haven't done my home heat analysis yet!

I bought it to watch my dog while I am at work/school and it is great. Whenever he moves it will send me a “Activity Detected” notification. I have no complaints.

I have a number of Soliom cameras. This is smaller than the rest, but the picture and functionality works the same as all the rest. This one is perfect for an area I have that doesn't have direct sunlight. I mounted the camera under and awning and mounted the solar panel in an area exposed to the sun. There is plenty of cable to mount the panel. Another great product.

Love the quality of the camera and how small and easy to place it is. I have another cam monitor that is constantly disconnecting from the wifi and it’s app, I don’t have that problem with this one! It always connects, and the lag is very very minor. Less then a second behind. Love this paired with the sensor monitor, puts my mind at ease at night!

I was surprised at how heavy it was and how well built it seems. The auto focus is very quick to adjust and the color representation is great. My only complaint after a month of use it that there is a lot of noise in the image. This made is nearly impossible to achieve a good green screen effect.

So straight out the box this camera was just super easy to get setup. I have never had any luck with cameras but the app makes setup a breeze. I left it on all the standard setting and put it in the woods and in 30 mins had decently clear pictures of deer. Only negative thing ive seen so far is it holds 12AA batteries, so i will probably add a battery pack and solar charger in the future.
