Easiest Setup Ever
Don't over-think it. If you have Windows 10 just plug it in and see if it works. Mine did, right out of the box. I tested the sound, audio recording and camera and all was well. I haven't used it on a Zoom call yet... but if it doesn't work I'll be very surprised. For me, with an old, cheap computer with NO mic NO camera and NO speakers this was perfect. One star off for no zoom. Nothing's perfect.

Great autofocus ability over previous camera.
When I first connected it and hung over my monitor I had artifacts, after a little troubleshooting discovered it was not the camera itself but the cable, so tried a different cable and everything cleared up as intended. My previous camera could not focus on items close to camera, it would always see something in background and never get that closeup of an ID or document an interviewer or professional on other end required.Well this camera does, the autofocus works as one would expect one to work and would clearly show an item brought close to screen.I contacted Anker over the cable issue and they sent me a new cable so I did not need to use one of mine to use this camera. It has a shutter you can manually close in case afraid someone would be able to access your camera, there is a light on camera to indicate it is in use. I have security cameras around the home inside and out and they are from a company that could spy on me so this need to close shutter is nice, but I did not care if people wanted to waste their time on me.. lolIn setting if you turn down resolution you can change how wide the field of view is so you can go from just your face to a whole room wide and I did not notice any loss in resolution of the primary object, me in these alternate resolutions. My monitor is on an arm and I swing it and lift it and with the stiffer cable sent I decided to secure it so the camera stayed in place. I do not use often, but have a few friends and family members that just have to see you when they talk so I got this to accommodate them, easier than trying to hold steady your smart phone...

Didn't even last two months.
I loved the camera and then last week it rained and I brought it in because I thought the batteries were dead. Well one of them was leaking, so I took all the batteries out and I put fresh batteries in. Once I close the camera all the battery started to explode. I don't know what happened, I'm not happy that I can't return it, and I don't think it's the batteries. So what do I do now? It's very strange occurrence, but the camera had to have malfunctioned.

Great little camera for traveling! Takes great pic
I bought this camera when my GoPro stopped working and I didn't wanna spend a bunch of money to replace it. I figured I would give this camera a try based on the reviews and I am glad I did! For the price you cannot beat it! Picture and especially video quality is great! I use it as a travel camera when on vacation or for bike rides, hikes, lake days ect! I've been using it for a little over a year and haven't had any issues with it! Works just as good as my GoPro did for a fraction of the price.

perfect quality!!!!!!!!!! (a few answers to questi
this camera is awesome!!!!!!I had heard how great action cams were like go pros, but when i looked to see how much they cost (how much a go pro cost), it was outrageous! So i did a lot more looking. In the end this seemed to be the best (The Akaso v50 pro), because it was a very reasonable price considering how many features it has compared to all the the other more expensive action cameras. So i got it. When i started using it i tried out some of the features i was excited about, and they worked great! plus the video quality is everything i hoped for.The Akaso v50 pro even comes with a remote so you can set up the camera somewhere and sit back and relax while snapping photos and videos. or you can get in front of the camera, click the button on the remote, and start recording yourself. i took it to the beach and tried out the water proof case the next day. i took lots of photos under water. and when i left later that day, i opened the case and there wasn't the tiniest drop of water in it.and now i will list a few things about the camera that weren't clarified very well, and that you may have been wondering about.1. like i said earlier the camera does come with a remote that can be used to take pictures and video (the remote can not turn the camera on and off. the power button on the remote turns the remote on & off.)2. this camera has the ability to capture both fast motion and slow motion movies. if you have the camera already, and can't figure out how to access slow motion video, then simply hold down the enter button, (the blue one) tap on the video icon, then tap "video resolution", scroll down (by swiping up on the screen with your finger) and click on "720p/120fps" then if you scroll down it should show that "slow motion movie" is now available to select.3. the WiFi feature is used to connect the camera to an IOS system, android, or other devices that are able to download the app called " ismart pro+". this application allows users to see what the camera sees, on the device with the app. when you are ready to connect the devices you must click on the WiFi icon on your camera and it will say "waiting for connection" then go onto your IOS or android device, and then go into settings>WiFI and select the network that says "AKASO_V50Pro_******.

Doing The Job UPDATED
UPDATE: Had to replace another camera as the night vision stopped working. The company sent a replacement for of charge. It's been 1 year since that Replacement and after a reset the camera won't show in night vision and the SD card isn't recognized. Customer service is telling me that they've refunded my money on the device so basically no support. If your camera fails, return it for refund. Don't take their free replacement as it's not covered.UPDATE: Bought a second camera and I've had nothing but issues. I have worked through the company customer service and only option is to reset and repair each time it falls offline. That is the resolution from them. This 2nd camera is on the same WAP on my roof as the first camera I bought from them. The 1st has full bars all the time and is never offline. Medium perfect line of sight to WAP. 2nd camera has a perfect line of sight to WAP and goes from full bars to zero on and off then completely goes offline and I have to turn it off then on again to get it back online. I moved the 2nd camera to several locations even within the house on internal WAP and it does the same thing. Only difference is that I did the firmware update on the 2nd device. Probably buggy. Hope they have a new update out soon.I returned the second for a replacement which is now on the same place as the defective one and it works great! Only problem is trying to transfer the already purchased cloud subscription from the defective device to the new one. Taking weeks and getting nowhere. Will have to eat the 16.99 original cloud purchase for the second camera and purchase a new subscription.END UPDATEThis is working well with my wireless extender on the roof. It would initially lose connectivity the minute I tried to PZR, but It's been stable now for more than a week sitting in the house facing a wall. I've mounted it today out at the back of the property and I am remotely viewing from 2 hours away at work.Pros:Easy SetupSolid frameLarge solar panelGreat app (android)Easy to recharge battery when required by reviving solar panel that holds battery and leaving camera in place.Cons:rubber caps on charge port and power switch should be attached somehow as they are quite easy to lose. Also need to be easier to re-insert.Doesn't come in Camo colourDifficult customer serviceCloud subscription required for each camera in the app. Can't use one for all the cameras you purchase from them.Beware of the firmware update. Leave as purchased.

Love, love, love this camera! Especially for bikin
I LOVE THIS CAMERA! I had. We live in Austin and have water holes everywhere. We visit different ones weekly during the summer. This camera is perfect! I use it on my bike rides as well. When we use it in water I take a lanyard and loop it through the waterproof case. Put it around my neck and we’re good to go! Much easier than carrying my iPhone and worrying if I’m going to lose it or get water in it. This camera is lite and easy to carry around. Can’t reccomwnr it enough!

Who needs a Go-Pro?
I had been using the Brave 4 camera and had been very impressed with the sharpness and colors. This camera is definitely a step up. From the moment you touch it you know it is a great upgrade from the Brave 4, it feels much more substantial and the case does not scratch as easily. The touch screen is a nice option, and the navigation through the various functions is very intuitive. The sharpness and color appear to surpass that of the Brave 4, and that is saying a lot. For the price, you can't beat all the features. Going to the Grand Canyon in a week, can't wait to see the pictures and videos from this camera!

This simple trail camera has good performance with just a few limitations. It comes with a variety of mounting methods that allow it to be mounted to a tree, fence, or just about anything you can think of. Externally, it is a weatherproof, camouflaged device. It contains a large infrared illuminator on top, a camera, then an array of three PIR motion sensors.Opening it up, there is a screen, a number of buttons, a slot for the included 32GB micro-SD card, and a power switch. It requires 12 volts, which means eight AA batteries. There is an external power port, so you can connect it to a 12 volt power source, but it would have been really nice to have had a long-lasting rechargeable lithium battery inside instead of AA batteries. The extensive menuing system allows you to configure a myriad of settings, from video length, quality, motion sensitivity and more. This is all fairly simple to figure out, even without resorting to the manual. There is also a companion smartphone app that allows you to view live video, browse saved images and videos, and adjust configurations. In theory, you start the phone app, it "wakes up" the camera via Bluetooth, the camera turns on its Wifi signal, the phone connects to the Wifi signal and normal operation begins. This worked for me twice, but most of the time it just failed, with the phone never connecting to the camera's Wifi. You do have to be extremely close (within ten feet or so) of the camera to "wake it up" which kind of defeats the purpose of having wireless capability in the first place. If you're that close to the camera, you might as well just open it up and take the memory card out.Once connected to the camera, I was able to view and change the configurations as well as view live video - but every time I tried to view a saved video, the app just locked up.The camera does work, especially well at night: the IR illuminator is quite bright, and the camera is very sensitive. It accurately detected the motion of animals and recorded them clearly.Daytime was different: while the daytime color picture was good, sunlight repeatedly activated the PIR sensors, which caused the camera to record pretty much continuously, filling the card and exhausting the AA batteries in less than 8 hours.Who is this for?- Hunters who want to identify movement of game- Anyone needing to identify movement in the darkPros:- High quality, high resolution nighttime image- Excellent motion detection in the darkCons:- Too many false triggers during daylight due to direct sunlight- Batteries exhausted quickly- Wireless capability is spotty and limited
