Just slapped a sticker on another company's product
I bought this telescope for taking picture of birds. It can be easily installed on my phone. Works well so far.

this telescope is pretty good. It is a travel tele
I wanted to wait until the perseid meteor shower to write this review and I gotta say, this telescope is pretty good. It is a travel telescope so the lens is small, but its packed with details. When looking at the moon I can see the craters and tons of detail very well. Also I was finally able to pinpoint Saturn. Saturn looked small, but I was able to see the space between the ring and the actual planet. I'm still learning about what I can see, but so far so great. You don't need to drive out to the middle of nowhere to use this telescope. One other thing I liked about this telescope was looking at the city's around me on a mountain. I had a 360 degree view of san diego and I could see all the way to the lit up coranado bridge to the other citys areound me. The one problem I have is the tripod. Its pretty flimsy and the turn radius sucks. Invest in a sturdy tripod its worth it. This telescope is great for begginners like myself and I had a ton of fun using it. I recommend this product to you and I think you will have a great time using it. The price isn't half bad either.

Nice telescope, easy to assemble and operate.
This is a basic telescope, easy to assemble and use. Kids love it. There is a learning curve but not too much.We used it to see NEOWISE comet just 2 days back, it didn't disappoint. Only one ask, to have a bigger tripod which I purchased separately. Price is competitive.

Astronomy starting level device
I used them last night to see sky at 20:00. I saw very clear Orion and its Nebula, Pleiades star cluster, saturn, venus. Not very good to use holding them by hand. So make sure to use a heavy tripod.Next step: a reflector telescope.

Great beginner telescope
Great beginner telescope for looking at the moon. Easy to setup and breakdown. The finder scope is a tiny bit off when trying to find an object to look for through the telescope. Overall, it's a great starter telescope!

Excellent Telescope!!
This telescope was purchased for a 12 year old and he loves it and it is easy to use. He took these photos of the moon and Mississippi Kite with the telescope, using an I-phone 7 on the adapter that comes with the telescope. This is a small and lightweight telescope so it is very easy to carry with you wherever you go. It is great for looking at the moon, planets, and wildlife. The last telescope we purchased for him was much more expensive, very big and bulky and did not work well at all. This is a much better choice. We highly recommend the #Sarblue Mak60 telescope!

Good pairing of telescope and mount!
The C6R telescope is a good, not great telescope. The AVX mount is a very good, not great mount. Together the pair is a good combination for routine backyard viewing. The C6R is almost 5 ft 6 in long which makes transporting it anywhere in a vehicle rather problematic. The AVX mount with the 2" aluminum tripod legs is a very solid platform and performs quite well with the relatively light C6R OTA mounted on it, although balancing it during initial setup can be tricky as a one person operation - it's just long and the CoG is way towards the non-eyepiece end. Take time to balance the telescope with the eyepiece end as close to the mount as possible (particularly in the DEC axis) - this will reduce the likelihood that the eyepiece end will collide with one of the tripod legs while the scope is slewing to objects near the zenith. As with any standard refractor there is noticeable chromatic aberration (CA) and color fringing of bright objects (Moon, Venus, Jupiter) This can be reduced / eliminated by either using the smaller aperture end cap or an eyepiece filter set. Finally, expect at least a month of cloudy nights immediately after you purchase this combination... it's the new telescope curse! :-)

Fantastic telescope
Fantastic telescope, if you are prepared to have patience in learning how to use it. Using such a high-power telescope isn't easy and it can be hard to get good, clear viewing. The GoTo calibration isn't always accurate and it might take 2 or 3 attempts to get the telescope aligned before you can start using it. It's important to set the time correctly and to make sure the tripod is absolutely level before you begin. There's a spirit level for this purpose, but you have to be spot-on. Once aligned, the GoTo functionality is easy to use.I almost regret getting a GoTo telescope because I haven't actually learnt all that much about astronomy (although I have had fun). With a manual telescope I would probably have learnt more, but used it less - swings and roundabouts! The telescope takes 8 AA batteries and runs them flat in a couple of hours, especially if it's cold. Rechargeable AA batteries don't work well because of the lower voltage, so you do need to invest in good alkaline batteries. Alternatively, the telescope has a DC power socket so you can use an external power source. You could hook it up to a 12V lead-acid leisure battery which will keep it running for many observation sessions, or if you plan to use it in your garden, you can use a 12V DC transformer and an extension lead. Make sure to check the maximum current rating because the telescope is quite demanding.Optically, this Cassegrain-Maksutov telescope is better suited to planetary viewing. If you want to look at galaxies, nebulae and other DSOs, you would be better off choosing a Newtonian formula telescope such as the SLT 130. Newtonians have lower magnification but better light-collecting ability. You can easily get a T-mount for this telescope and attach a digital SLR camera in place an eyepiece for excellent astrophotography. The motors in the mount seem happy enough with a reasonably heavy camera piggybacking on the telescope.Do take note that this telescope has an altazimuth mount, rather than an equatorial mount. This means that throughout the course of the night, the field of view shown in the telescope will rotate. Bear this in mind if you are taking long exposures for astrophotography. An equatorial mount is the "real deal" for astrophotography.I probably wouldn't recommend this telescope to a complete beginner, but it's excellent for a second telescope after you've learnt the basics on something a bit smaller.
