I use one of those curved acoustic pads behind my mic, but my desk-mounted boom wasn't quite long enough to get up over the top and still allow me to place the mic exactly where I wanted it. I thought the extension offered by this boom mic might be just what I needed.I was right. The extension worked perfectly, but not with the boom that came with it. This is advertised as an "overhead mic boom stand," but the boom itself is just 14 inches on a side. Not much is gained if you provide an extension, but with a very short boom. Thankfully, it worked with my existing boom arm, which is 18 inches on a side. (The provided boom is on the desk in the photo.)So why did I still give it 5 stars? Because that was just my specific application. The extension and desk mount are very well made (much better than what I had), as is the boom arm (which I will be using at my office). It might be perfect for your needs, just be sure to take careful measurements before ordering, to be sure the eight inch extension plus the 14" arm will be sufficient.Note to seller: You provide a 2" extension and an 8" extension, to provide different options for the buyer. Why not thread the 2" extension on both sides so they can be joined, to provide an even longer extension? The end cap could cover the threads of the 2" extension, for use by itself.

Crystal clear sound quality. The boom mic is rigid, so the mic is pretty far away from your mouth - some folks report issues being able to hear me if I'm not speaking pretty loudly. No easy to access mute button, so the only option to mute is raising the mic boom - can be a bit annoying. Otherwise, decent product for the price. Battery life is excellent.

Really thought it wouldn't be good. Really, for this price. This is an amazing product and has the boom mic.

Great mic, just be wary of leaving it in your desk with no boom stand. Can get a bit noisy for listeners.

I think this is a great idea to have a usb c boom mic pair of earbuds. It provides a wired audio option with a directional boom mic that is lightweight and better mic and audio then the basic options out there. Using this with a laptop, phone or tablet has been very useful and really nice to have.Pros:- USB-C cable base but includes USB-A adapter- Boom mic is good quality and isolates voice well- Earbuds are lightweight and good quality- On cable volume control and mic mute button is very nice to haveCons:- Left earbud can be heavy to have in ear for long periods due to boom mic weight- Wish the boom mic was detachable since the earbuds are good quality sound- No way to keep the earbud/boom mic in one place due to the small design with no wingtips option- Cable is a bit thin so need to be careful with itI would highly recommend this for those on the go accepting calls on their USB-C devices and want better mic quality and don't mind that its wired. I think this is a great option for those looking for this specific product and really glad that it terminates to a USB-C instead of the usual 3.5mm audio jack because then you need to use an adapter for phones and tablets or computers and makes it harder to be pocketable for small use on the go.
