Nest is the best- forget about the rest!
Incredibly intuitive device that learns from your routine and makes adjustments as needed. Better than any other "programmable" thermostat on the market. This is my second Nest and it has saved countless dollars on heating and the ability to adjust it from anywhere at any time. Nest smart phone app is super user friendly and integrates my Nest protect smoke/CO2 alarms and Nest cameras. Set up is simple and only takes a couple of minutes. You have the option of programming time on/off and temperature or you can let it learn from your routine as the motion sensors know when you are home and when you are not. There are also a number of great features- such as shutting off the furnace if you have the Nest protect and there is a CO2 alert. Every home should have at least one!

Good quality camera for a lower price!
The camera is awesome. I bought it to observe a cardinal nest in the bush in front of my house. It has allowed me to observe the nest and capture some great footage. We intend to use it as a security camera after that, but I was very happy with my purchase. The only thing I am still trying to work with is the audio. It is good, but if I turn the input down to a certain level, it just sounds like static (like adjusting squelch on a scanner). I had to reach out to support with a couple questions, and they are very responsive and accommodating. I do not regret this purchase. Thank you.

Everything is good except the installation manual
I replaced an old Nest with this 3rd generation Nest. Everything is good except the installation manual which is lack of replacing an old Nest with a 3rd gen Nest. We have to delete device and add a new device in app to make this work smooth. It took me 30 min to figure it out.

Which Nest is best for your home
For those that are deciding on which Nest Thermostat to purchase please consider reading this first.Nest sells two versions. A budget frequently version that will work in a claimed 85% of homes. Then the premium Nest Smart Learning Thermostat that will work in a Nest claimed 95% of homes.The Nest Smart Learning Thermostat does not require a constant power wire unlike the lower cost Nest Thermostat which may require it. Before considering a Nest thermostat go to the Nest website and check compatibility with home’s system(s). A few quick questions and you will have a better idea which version will work best with your home’s A/C and/or heating system.I am very pleased with our Nest Smart Learning Thermostat. I considered other Smart Thermostat’s before deciding on the Nest. We configured our thermostat to work with Amazon Echo’s in our home. It was quick very easy to do. The Nest app is fantastic too.

It is unnecessary
We got this even though we already had a nest. I'm not even sure why we did it now and wish we would have just saved our money. Just get a large stand up for the nursery. You only need one and we really love the nest.
