This monitor is awesome! I really like the rotation to check on the baby, and I can zoom over to see the cats on my bed. It has great range. We are thinking about replacing the monitors in our toddlers room with one of these cameras.

We have been through a lot of cameras but these are the best so far. The price was excellent ($25). We have them all over our house and use them as baby cameras as well.The best part is the that in the app, you can see all the cameras on the same page. You don’t have to pay for any monthly fee if you don’t need recordings. I love the ability to move it (not loud when it moves which is important for a nursery), turn a camera on or off through the app, and most of all being able to talk through the camera (my husband does it all the time when I don’t pick up my phone). The look high end and are very clear. Motion detection works very well and isn’t too loud.Two downfalls: sometimes an ad will pop up and you have to wait 2-3 seconds before being able to see the cameras. Also the ALARM is terrible if you accidentally push it when the baby is sleeping (which we have) and we don’t know how to disable that function.You can’t beat being able to check in on your house when you’re gone or like I do all the time, check in on kids in another room even when I’m home. Don’t miss the baby monitors at all.

These were delivered in one day, really fast shipping. The 4 cameras were well packaged in and all the needed wires and connectors were included. The set up was REALLY easy, essentially plug n play, simply plug each camera in to wall outlet or extension cord, pair to your device ( in this case my phone) , connect to the Wi-Fi, and that's it. The cameras have a very sharp picture, on the phone screen I can zoom in, and the alerts have a sensitivity setting; the cameras have 2 way audio, which works very well, so if your front door has some shelter from the elements you could mount one of these near the door for a sort of budget Ring setup. we will see how they hold up , but so far, so good. Also, we opted not to do Cloud storage right now, the 6 second alert clips are archived to the phone, which for right now is good enough. All in all, these are a screaming deal .

 I've used a lot of different game cameras over the years and this is my first experience with the Alpha Cam. I've been running one at my feeder and one at my wife's. As with any game cam, the daylight pics are much better than night time and there's always that period of time when the camera is adjusting from night to day and picture quality suffers for a few minutes. One of the most impressive feature of these cameras is that it seems to know not to take pictures every time the wind blows or the clouds shift. We've captured well over 20,000 images this season on these two cameras and have had maybe 5 where you couldn't tell what triggered the shot. The color screen makes adjustments simple and clear. I've only had these for about three months so I can't comment on their lifespan but so far, I'd say they were the best I've used to date.

Last year, I bought 4 AMCREST cameras (3 outdoor rated and 1 interior) and an AMCREST NVR (which is like a DVR for cameras) for our home security. We live in a very safe area but there is the occasional mischief now and then.Set-up of the cameras is easy and intuitive. Install or set-up where you'd like coverage, scan the QR Codes to pair with your home WiFi system, and you're off! Once all have been installed it's time to pair them with your phone or NVR. Pretty slick!The picture image and quality is fantastic - vibrant color and sharp images. I am still amazed at the quality of these cameras!All that said, I did have an issue with my NVR and configuration. I set-up my system last year and only recently fund that something had gone awry. A call to the AMCREST Technical Service Department yielded fantastic results! I spoke with Dominic Parker who quickly and professionally handled my situation... He was patient with me and easily guided me on getting things back to right. They do login t your computer (they obviously ask for permission) to get access your network, as needed.We LOVE our AMCREST products and appreciate their outstanding service. Thank you!!

I have 2 of these, 1 reolink that's a different style and 5 arlo cameras. Reolink are better simply because you don't need a base station and you can access the videos for more than 2 weeks. All the replacements for the arlos will be reolink.

Really like these cameras but have to rate as 4 stars because of the amount of lag time it takes to begin recording after sensing movement, as other reviewers mention. Set up was relatively easy but understanding how the "rules" work was a challenge. However, information and advice is plentiful to help accomplish that, thanks to all the people who contribute. The motion sensitivity seems inconsistent, I think possibly due to changing light conditions throughout the day(?) and seems to change more as batteries weaken. After 2 months of use, I had to replace batteries twice in camera #1, which overlooked my driveway, then swapped it's location with camera #3 and now have better battery life in #1. Still doesn't prove that #1 is not defective in some way but it looks like it will be alright as my back door monitor. I chose these cameras because I didn't want to run cables and couldn't decide how large of a recorder, etc., I needed. After buying and liking the first one, it was convenient to add the kit with 2 more and now I have an extra base as well.Update 2/26/17- I now have 4 cameras. Average battery life is about 2 months on my busiest cameras. Lag time is still annoying. I added a battery backup for my modem and base, so I feel confident that the system will still be active for a while in the event of a power outage.
