Overall:Very pleased with the unit--4.75/5. Monitor battery life 4.5/5--can easily work all night with screen on, multiple days with screen sleep turned on. Setup 5/5--everything worked out of the box and no pairing was required. Quality 4.5/5--clear enough to get the job done. Wireless range 5/5.What really set this kit over the top for me is that the camera can be ran off of a standard USB battery pack. This means that no wifi is needed, and no outlet is needed for the camera if you have a battery pack, essentially meaning you can use this camera anywhere without the camera needing to be tethered to a wall outlet--car, camper, wherever. This may not work with all USB battery packs, as I have only tested one. Not sure how long it lasts on a 10,000 mAh battery pack.Cons:Battery life on monitor drains rather fast when brightness is turned up, but can still get quite a few hours out of it at max brightness. Not sure of actual nits, but max brightness isn't exceptionally bright either. Speaker on both monitor and camera leave a bit to be desired but plenty loud enough. VOX can be hit-and-miss. Navigating menus on monitor is a little clunky and not very intuitive. Camera pan/tilt motor is pretty quiet, but will still startle my newborn if he is in a light sleep. Max downward tilt is pretty shallow, meaning it won't tilt down very far if the camera is above where baby is. Battery longevity on monitor is questionable and I have noticed a decrease in max battery life only after a dozen or so charge/discharge cycles. It still holds a charge well, but not a well as right out of the box.Pros:Complete standalone unit--no wifi required. Monitor is good. VOX feature is mostly reliable. There are decent features on the monitor (PTZ, temperature, lullaby, talk, etc.). Lowest brightness is bright enough for indoor use. Picture quality is good. Battery life is good. Wireless range is excellent--I live in a ~1700 sq. ft. house and can bring the monitor anywhere, including my garage, with no loss of picture or visual quality. Camera is great. IR (night) mode is clear and bright. Monitor and camera are USB-C--I appreciate the standardization.

I have had this camera for a few weeks now, comparing it to the original akaso v50 the difference is night and day.Touchscreen, gyroscope, and better hardware make this camera a definite step up. The previous model was very cumbersome to navigate, pairing the remote was difficult etc. I am a casual user and had a hard time remembering steps. This new model works very intuitively, Im very impressed!!As far as image stabilization / gyroscope it works very well definitely better than the old akaso v50 with videos looking smoother. This camera is a great value. Comes with two batteries. I thought that one of the batteries already being fully charged was a classy move. (maybe a fluke?) For the money This camera is a no-brainer. Great for someone who might not be an extreme snowboarder and cannot justify the go-pro price of admission. Come with a starter pack of mounts and stuff as well.

I purchased this camera as I was going on vacation and wanted to have something that would be waterproof. I have to say I was skeptical at first because of the price being so low, but once I tried it out on my trip, I was blown away with the quality, especially under water. The waterproof case that comes with the camera works perfectly. I used the camera for about 4 hours in the water, throughout my trip, and never had any issues with fogging or quality loss of pictures/videos. Also, you get a boat load of accessories with your purchase, with the most important being an extra battery. The only piece you need is a micro SD card, which sells for about $15 (make sure it doesn't exceed 32gb as I believe that is the max storage the camera can handle). All in all I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase and highly recommend it for anyone who doesn't want to spend $300+ for the competition ;)

Pros:This is a great camera, easy to setup and use.Low power draw for a solar installation.Cheap.Works with BlueIris!The major con:With the silent update to V3 you lose digital zoom. The listing is now incorrect and should not advertise this camera as having that feature. This means you can no longer setup a view profile with a preset zoom level and that you have to use some other application to zoom in. If I had known this before ordering I would have searched out another v1 or v2 (same as my other Amcrest camera).Other minor cons:The software is less useful but works. Sometimes Chrome will let me see a video preview and other times it tells me to install the plug in which is really a custom browser you use to view the camera's setup page. I use BlueIris though so that is a minor annoyance.

I recently purchased the Akaso V50 Pro for some trips that I had planned with friends and family. I wanted to find an amazing, yet inexpensive camera that would capture all those great moments. I did my research and decided to purchase the Akaso V50 Pro. I put it to test as soon as I received it in the mail and I really do not have enough great things to say about this action camera, IT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!! Not only is the camera easy to use, the quality is amazing for both photos and videos. I'm not lying when I say that I already started telling everyone I know how great this camera is and that they should consider getting one of their own. Can't wait to go on other adventures and save those memories forever! If you are looking for INEXPENSIVE and AMAZING QUALITY, look no more, AKASO V50 Pro is what you need!

I am so excited to have this because we have family abroad and they live near a national park where there are wild wolves.. YES, WILD WOLVES. I will be going over at the end of summer for a couple of weeks so I cant wait to test this out.The camera quality is great and the night vision is as good as it gets, the straps are super strong and the camera will be right where you have left it when you go back to it in the morning.Nice camo design that causes the camera to be unseen and that is really cool, the only downside to the camera and I can't think for the life of me why they have done this is it is not rechargeable!!! I mean the way batteries are these days it would make total sense for this to be rechargeable with an in-built battery pack but instead, you must insert your own batteries.If it was not for the battery power thing this would of easy been a five star bit of kit but as it is it only gets 4.

this is the first camera that we have ever used for our home. Installed one week ago and seem to be well worth the investment. Pictures are very clear both day and night. Since we are a first time user we really didn't know what to expect but so far everything seems to be working good. Will be purchasing another camera for the rear of our property.

I would recommend this product, and purchase another if neededI use this camera to record rides on my motorcycle. When I first reviewed the camera, I thought for its price the video quality and pictures would be OK. Surprisingly the video is very clear and stable and easy to scroll through once you download to your computer.The battery life is OK it lasts for about an hour per charge I currently use an external power source on my motorcycle Via USB to have it record the full time I am writing. The wrist remote is rather sensitive, and I have bumped it lightly and it has turned the recording off on the camera. Other than that, I think the product is great.Ease of use and set up of the camera.Set up of the mounts can be a little troublesome you have to think about how you were going to melt this but in attached to the handlebars of my motorcycle without a problem.
