Excellent little piece of hardware with serious software flaws
Barely workable as a media projector for the family. The remote doesn’t work with many of the apps and it requires a smart phone app to control it. That doesn’t make it very family friendly for most folks.Customer service was rude. We decided to try the capsule 2 and that one didn’t fix any of the issues.We sent them both back.

A great product at a great price I was skeptical of purchasing this product because most other cameras are twice as expensive I cannot believe the quality , features that this camera has I would highly recommend it to anybody else as a matter fact I’m going to buy a second one front of my houseUpdateIt has them about three weeks since I write this view and the camera was great since that time I changed my rather and brought the camera inside to update it as well as charge it it will a lot except a charge I have contacted the seller and have not heard back from themIn all fairness to the seller I just contacted them yesterday so it will be interesting to see what the result is. When I hear back from them I will update this review. I actually Forgot to submit the first review but it was a great camera when it worked

Excellent camera. I would buy it again.
Image quality of this camera is excellent. Auto focus works perfectly. The night vision is great and the camera works perfectly with the free Tinycam app. It is easy to setup using the Tinycam app too. The power supply is a small version of what you get with a laptop instead of the cheaper "wallwort" style. I use this camera to monitor wildlife on a private network, so I cannot comment on internet connectivity, but the Wifi works perfectly over a distance of 40 going through several walls and a window to my local router. I have a slight amount of play in the pan motion gear drive which allows for a small amount of lost motion, thus preposition settings are not perfect when I scroll back and forth between setpoints. This is only a minor problem and perhaps mine has a slight defect that others will not experience. I'm exceedling happy with this camera and would purchase it again.

Good clear pictures
it was extremely easy to install. The connection process only took a few moments. Mounting the camera was also easy. The camera provides a wide field of vision that is reasonably sharp and colorful and because the camera is a 360 I can turn it to monitor my front yard in the day time and at night I turn it so can see my driveway, it sends alerts to my phone whenever anyone comes in my yard, it also has spot light that comes on when there’s movement, has good clear pictures and videos, the night vision can set it for color or black and white, and has two way audio I can talk to my husband when he’s outside working. I recommend purchasing the solar panel charger. The addition of the solar panel charger will make your camera maintenance free. You can place it anywhere you want without concern for periodically connecting a charger.

Son loves it!
This is a great 'play' camera for younger children. Its durable, with decent battery life and enough storage for them to snap away . My 3 year old son loves running around taking pictures of things - my 5 year old isn't as interested, but that's more personal preference I think.In terms of the actual product its a fully functioning digital camera. It doesn't have much in the way of options: a few sticker-like effects and similar. The screen is pretty terrible, and older children will quickly outgrow this and want something that can do a bit more.I feel that for what this is its a little expensive - maybe $10 less would be the correct price. It has an awkward niche of being great for kids 3-6 or so, but at 7 I can imagine a kid wanting a better camera if they actually care about taking pictures.That said, I appreciate how durable this little camera is ... and it is really very cute.

App Has Been Fixed
App update on Sept 1, 2021 removed the feature to zoom in on the timeline, making it hard to review footage precisely. Also, the landscape view no longer has the timeline on it, making it a pain to review your footage.As of Sep 15, still no fix from Yi. The app is way worse now. Would not recommend you buy this camera if you care about viewing footage on sd card. Very hard to navigate it now.As of Sep 28, 2021, app functionality has been restored. Back to 5 stars! Bought a Eufy camera in the meantime. The Eufy camera is better (2K, connects to app more reliably), but the Yi app is better (except it doesn't always connect to camera on the first try). The Yi app motion detection on the timeline makes it much easier to find events. I'm actually using them both in the same spot. Eufy for live viewing and pet detection. Yi for historical viewing.

Excellent camera added to my other Soliom line up
The package arrived in an expeditious manner and in perfect condition. The camera and solar panel are packaged within with great care. Installation and pairing the camera were very simple and straight forward. I love the fact that the solar panel cable has a longer reach then most so I can place the panel out of view but able to see the sky clearly.This is my 4th camera from Soliom and it has all the features that I would need to now complete all four corners of my house exterior. The view day and night are very clear and the motion detection is excellent for capturing anyone coming to visit or deliver a package.One of the nice features of the S40 is the the solar charging so you don't have to wire the camera and it is always online and ready to use without a worry of recharging the batteries.The same app is used for all 4 cameras which makes it very convenient and simple to use.

AMAZING PRODUCT
THIS CAMERA IS EVERYTHING I'VE EVER NEEDED. I'VE BEEN WANTING ONE FOR AWHILE, JUST TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE DOGS WHILE WE'RE GONE. I DIDN'T WANT TO SPEND A FORTUNE SO I KEPT PUTTING IT OFF. I CAME ACROSS THIS ONE AND DECIDED FOR THE PRICE, IT WAS WORTH A TRY. IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN I EVER EXPECTED. THE PICTURE IS CLEAR AND EASY TO ZOOM IN AND OUT OF. YOU DON'T NEED A MICRO SD CARD UNLESS YOU WANT TO RECORD. YOU CAN SCREENSHOT FROM THE APP ON YOUR PHONE, TURN THE CAMERA ON/OFF, HAS 2 WAY AUDIO WITH ABOUT A 2 SECOND DELAY, AND YOU CAN ROTATE THE CAMERA 180 DEGREES FROM THE APP. IT HAS BABY CRYING DETECTION, MOTION DETECTION AND NIGHT VISION. YOU CAN SET THE ALERTS TO CERTAIN TIMES, TURN THEM OFF OR LEAVE THEM ON CONTINUOUSLY. SERIOUSLY AWESOME CAMERA FOR THE PRICE.

Great camera! Highly recommend! Works better than
it definitely does its job with a high resolution video. I never knew how many rabbits and cats visited my property during the early morning hours! Now I know what is driving my dog nuts out there. The only complaint I have is, even with the sensitivity to the minimum, the camera will pick up on a single leaf blowing by and even rain drops and snow flakes. When it’s raining or snowing, I have to disable my camera. Otherwise, I keep getting notified every minute with a video. At least I’ll know when the rain/snow stops if I want. Lol!That’s the only reason I took one star off. The light that goes on when the camera detects movement is a great dependable feature. This allows me to put the window if I want and creates a crisper and brighter video of what the camera is detecting.
