Picture quality and color is very good. Controls and menu set up are intuitive and easy. Battery life about 40-45mins for me, depending on settings. 1080 120fps renders very smooth footage. Time lapse videos look really nice and the IS works very well. Well worth buying at this price point

I did a ton of research before buying the V50 Pro. I read dozens of articles and watched hours of YouTube reviews on action cameras in the Under $200 price range before narrowing my decision down to this device. After it was all said and done I couldn't be happier. Is it as good as the Hero 7? Probably not, but it was easily 60-70 percent less expensive. And what I may have given up wasn't worth that additional cost! The image stabilization is more than adequate, the 4K picture quality is superb and even the built in mic does a great job of picking up sound clearly within a couple feet of the camera. The touch screen is as big as it can get for a camera that fits in the palm of your hand, though it is a little sensitive. I generally find that scrolling results in selecting whatever I touched last and having to hit the return arrow to get back to the main screen and continue scrolling. It's a little thing, really. I like the huge assortment of setting selections, the super slow motion is easy to use and looks good. I haven't tried the time lapse yet, but the examples I've seen online look great. The best part of this deal was the price and everything you get for that. The assortment of accessories would cost you a fortune if purchased separately for a Gopro, and they included an RF remote that you wear like a watch to click off pictures or start/stop video. I also love the fact that it came with two batteries and a separate charging base so I don't have to plug the camera in to charge them up.PROS: Price, Build Quality, Ease of Use, Picture Quality, Battery Life, AccessoriesCONS: Image Stabilization (is very good, but still not as good as Gopro but for the price difference, it's amazing!!) Touch Screen Sensitivity (still not a big deal) QR for User Manuel (didn't work but found easily with Google search) Camera is NOT water resistant out of the waterproof case it came with.Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a quality 4K action camera who isn't ready or just doesn't have the budget for a Hero 7. It's easy to use, has great battery life and crystal clear image quality. On top of that, Akaso customer service is excellent. Sent them an email with a question and heard back very quickly. I bought this camera for recording my bike rides and it meets all my expectations. What I didn't expect is the variety of attachment accessories that came with it. The quality is very good and easy to set up.

So many pieces. I had to pick up a tackle box to keep all of the pieces in order. The quality of the plastic is good and the variety of parts is pretty useful for the Akaso action camera. The parts look like they would be compatible with standard go-pro mounts as well.

This Akaso V50X camera has excellent image stabilization and gyroscope. I use it between my different mountain bikes. I have riding friends who are surprised at the image quality and stability compared to their various models & brands. My only complaint is the sound quality is lacking and even more so when you use the water-proof case. I hope to solve this issue since I've ordered the external mic for it. That brings up another point: only the Akaso mic made for the camera will work- aftermarket brands will not/are not compatible.I've only recorded in 1080 since I don't have editing software that accepts 4k yet but even at 1080 it's great. If you are looking for an action camera that's comparable to a GoPro- consider this one. I would have given 5 stars but -1 for sound quality. For the price point; you can't go wrong!

Got this for my dad when we go fishing to mount in the boat. Great quality own anuther one that I use for paintball. I personally won't spent big money on name brand action camera when these are great bang for your buck.

I spend a lot of time on the phone. Either communicating with my staff, talking to customers and, on my down time, I listen to audio books. This headset is in action all day long! The sound quality is great! Battery life exceptional. Definitely worth the money.
