Reading some of the reviews I was pretty skeptical about the sound quality. Now that I have these, I am very positively amazed by them!Bass is comfortable and more than meets my expectations.Overall sound from the speakers sounds like a descent quality.

I just replaced some crappy old computer speakers with this system. I expected a slight improvement; after all speakers are speakers, right? But this system blew me away! On my old speakers, it was sometimes hard to understand peoples' muddy voices on YouTube videos. But the voices are crystal clear now. When playing games, I can now tell when an enemy is to the left or right of me, just by the sound. And YT music videos sound just like I'm listening on a multi-thousand dollar high-end stereo system!Imperfections? Others have said that the cables are too short. And they would be if you were planning to use this system with your TV or home theater system (seriously peeps, if you're setting up a sound system for your TV, get yourself a 5.1 system). But as a pair of computer speakers where you're just going to put them on your computer desk, the cables are plenty long enough. The subwoofer is a bit larger than I expected and I had to move some stuff around to fit it on my shelf with my router, UPS, cable modem, and a pile of power bricks. But to get deep bass, you need big and heavy--that's simply physics at work, bleh.Is the bass too weak or too strong, as others have said? You can adjust the bass with a knob to turn up or down the bass relative to the overall sound. So if you like earthquakes, pump up the bass! Or if you've got a sleeping baby in the next room, turn it all the way down, the voices and "normal" sound is still crystal clear. The bass knob has a center detent, which is where I leave it most of the time.I'm really impressed by the overall quality in many subtle ways. For example, my last speakers would "walk" around the table if I played them too loudly. These all have sticky rubber feet that holds them firmly in place. These pieces are all heaver than they look, so they ain't moving around no matter how loud you play them! When I got home and picked up the box left by FedEx, I was like, "Why is this box with two little speakers and one subwoofer so frigging heavy?!?!" Well, they're solid and well made...that's why!

I had a pair of more expensive Bose computer speakers finally die on me and grabbed a pair of the wired (no BT) 3.5's. These are great speakers for the price and small enough to fit on most desks. The bass response is a bit weak, but you can boost it some via the tuning knob in back or w/ software. Any company that includes a Chicken and Andouille Gumbo recipe in the owners manual gets a thumbs up from me!

I was hoping for a slightly above-average system as an upgrade from tiny desktop speakers with no bass to speak of. These deliver. The woofer packs a nice punch at low volumes (nice for apartment living) and installation was an absolute breeze. I'm very happy with the sound quality for the price!!

Absolutely killer sound quality. Clearer and louder than an Echo and a lot of bass for how little they look. Made me question why it even had a sub output! Best speakers I've bought at this price range even up to $250. AMAZING value imo

From box to set up was seamless! Great lil speakers for my turntable! Easy set up, and the sound is amazing! Exactly what I was looking for. Love how many ways they can be connected and the volume and bass controls just make the whole thing great!

Until I tried my inexpensive Behringer usb dac I was pretty disappointed in these speakers. I just got a new Dell XPS system, changed my office, and needed something without a subwoofer. Unfortunately, these T20 just sounded dreadful at first with a lousy midbass and a high end that just sounded so wrong - much worse than the Boston Acoustics subwoofer system that I was replacing. But its the old story of garbage in - garbage out and these speakers were much more revealing of the problems. The little dac got me much closer to what I was hoping for. After that a little break in time and tone adjustment (bass at 10oclock and treble at 1 oclock) got me where I'm really enjoying these now.Overall, I'm finding the sound beautifully detailed from the mids and up. With decent signal coming in you'll definitely notice a nice openness and coherence in the top end. The dedicated tweeter is well implemented and really imparts a proper airiness to the music. In the lower bass area they hold up well and don't seem to have any significant frequency depressions or pull outs in this region. The ported bass does extend the reach of the speakers but there is a bit of a hump in the lower bass region before the bass trails off completely. I wish they had damped the internals a bit more to tighten up the bass in this region but its listenable and gives a warm sound with no hint of dryness.Compared to my Boston Acoustics subwoofer system the T20's are much more lively in the upper reaches and far more coherent in the lower end. There's a bit less lower end bass in the T20's but I really don't miss it since the subwoofer was rather boomy sitting on the floor anyway.

About 4.5 years now and these have not let me down until now. The sub box went out. Before it went out the sound/bass was amazing! Amazing sound system for its price. Would give 5 stars if speakers lasted longer but I'm not disappointed.
