Warning : First and Second Unit Emitted Loud Static and Other Noise If Used While Charging
Got one of these (and a replacement) around Q1 2021, and both had a similar issue that make them unusable for us - When charging and playing audio the speaker emits awful static and other weird noises that make it unusable. Removing the power cord immediately resolved the issues, but if you want some sort of semi-static emplacement (not re-doing the plug over and over) it just isn't usable.

Great for pros!!! The best for non pros!!! IMHO!
I love these monitors!! I use them every single day in so many ways because the Bluethooth function expands their capabilities more than i expected. To me, it's everything the manufactures claim and more!

Loving these speakers, and not needing a subwoofer
I had been using two small Altec Lansing speakers and big subwoofer under my desk. For various reasons, I decided to change up my set up and these were highly recommended by many sources. While I was setting them up, I did worry a little about having the speakers fully exposed like that as it seemed like it would be easier to accidentally damage the cones, but I also wondered if there was a good reason such as sound quality or something. Being that I am generally very careful and take care of my stuff, it's not a big worry, but accidents happen! When I first set them up, I was then worried as I turned the front knob on (which clicks on/off at the full counterclockwise position) and nothing happened. Then I realized I was an idiot, and that there was also a power switch on the back. With my setup, the only good place for them was slightly higher than head level. which I know is not optimal. I could definitely tell a difference in sound between standing and sitting (which is my usual position) with standing being superior. Since I knew that generally you want the tweeters as close to ear level as possible, I decided to try turning the speakers upside-down and that seemed to do the trick! Much better sound at my sitting position slightly below the speaker level.I love the sound. Very full and even more I love not having a bulky subwoofer under my desk. Plenty of bass for my needs as I like a very balanced sound and don't need thumping bass that rattles the house. The bluetooth feature is super handy too as now I can easily play my phone over these speakers instead of my tiny Amazon Echo Dot!Also, a tiny thing, but I love that they came with foam pads you can place under the speakers in various configurations to your liking! These are all just first impressions since I just got them this afternoon and so I haven't done a TON of listening yet, but I'd be surprised if my opinion changed over time. Very glad I made the switch. The one thing I don't like is that they seem highly and acutely directional. As mentioned, I had to put them upside down to get good sound in my chair to get the tweeters closer to ear level, but now if I stand up to practice guitar, the sound quality isn't as good since now the tweeters are too low and the sound gets more muffled with less detail.I also get a strange high end hiss a little bit. Almost as if there's an input gate or something in the speakers. I only really notice it when feeding a fairly quiet signal such as when playing a soft note on a synth or playing an audio track at a low volume. When the audio begins, I hear a distracting high end hiss that then cuts off when the audio signal stops. I tend to notice it in my DAW or when video editing through Davinci Resolve, but not when playing music through bluetooth or streaming it on my PC so I haven't quite figured it out but I feel fairly certain it's not my interface or anything like that.

These monitors where really great for the price I wasn’t expecting them to be this good. The Bluetooth come is handy too. Great purchase.

Great sound
Sound is excellent for desktop speakers. I'm playing FLAC files of classical music and jazz through the standard motherboard audio, no fancy DAC or anything. Deep clean bass, sharp clear transients, plenty of power. Crank up Buxtehude's Praeludium for Organ in C major played by Hans Davidsson and the bass will knock books off the shelves! Flaws in poor recordings become painfully evident, you'll need an equalizer to rescue some of them. Negatives which prevent the fifth star: 1) initial bluetooth pairing with iPhone was very tedious, it took multiple attempts. 2) If you turn off the power with the power/volume knob, the power doesn't come back when you turn it on. You have to turn it on and off a couple of times to get power back. Not the case with the rocker switch on the back, but that one is difficult to reach.
