I want to give 5 Stars across the board to the White Noise Machine, but I can't regarding "sleep quality" because I've never used the machine to fall asleep. I bought this nifty gadget because my new apartment's bathroom doesn't have one of those roaring ventilation systems that do such a great job of drowning out the sounds of a person's most-private business. Didn't want family and friends to feel shy about relieving themselves while visiting because noises they might emit would be heard outside the bathroom. Problem solved! The Big Red Rooster 6-Sound White Noise Machine is tiny but mighty ~ as in mighty loud. In fact, I don't know just how loud it can be because I'm afraid to increase the volume too much! I tested the gadget's effectiveness when a family member visited last week: I showed her the machine and we each put it to use at separate times in the bathroom. Two thumbs up, way up, from both of us. We each selected "white noise." But just for fun, we did listen to the other sounds ~ "rain," "brook," "thunder," "ocean" and "summer night" ~ and it's easy to imagine how soothing they'd be to someone needing an assist to fall asleep. (I don't have that issue.) Two photos I've attached show how easily the teeny machine fits inside my bathroom. One pic shows the gadget on top of the medicine cabinet. The other pic shows the gadget on the floor, near the corner by the door. The door can be opened completely without hitting the noise machine.

I got this machine because I am a mental health therapist and want to make sure no one can hear what is being said outside of the room. The volume settings are perfect, it's not too loud but drains out the noise on the other side of the door for confidentiality. I love that there are more noise options; my clients choose which one they want during their session!

I brought it as a distraction for Tinnitus and I sleep better.

I’m not particularly fond of the white noise but this product has several choices that are great!

Nothing fancy, just a standard white noise machine. We purchased ours in 2018, and it's still going strong. We always take it on trips and we love it!
