The iSteady Mobile Plus is an amazing gimbal and a great value for the price. Four distinct modes allow you to keep your camera level and directed toward your subject in virtually any scenario. The gimbal works well right out of the package, but the real power comes when the gimbal is used in conjunction with the manufacturer's app. The app allows you to calibrate the gimbal with precision to get the perfect angle. In addition to providing a high level of customization, the app also allows you to activate face tracking so that the gimbal will automatically follow the subject as he/she moves. There are many more features included, and Hohem offers tutorial videos on YouTube that will help you to get the most out of your gimbal. Overall, the iSteady Mobile Plus is highly recommended!

Update: After some original frustrations with the gimbal overheating and shutting down while recording, and less than enthusiastic tech support, the gimbal seems to be working fine. When attaching a phone, it’s very important to make sure there’s no horizontal lean AT ALL. Any extra work to automatically level your phone creates a strain on the motors and makes them overheat. Good gimbal overall, but minus one star for the no so intuitive instructions and more frustration than necessary.While the gimbal looks and feels great, it shuts down in the middle of recording which makes it useless. While I purchased it half a year ago, I haven't really used it for anything other than walking around with it for fun. However, when running up against a deadline to submit a music scholarship video, the gimbal seemed to be working great on a tabletop using the included tripod and a Samsung S8, but then suddenly shut down halfway through the performance causing the video to flop around. So not cool having to struggle with gear when $$ is on the line. The gimbal was freshly and fully charged, and had only been on for less than 10 minutes. The battery still indicated it was full. Tried it again later, and the same thing happened. It seems to work just fine unless you want to shoot anything longer than 5 minutes. Otherwise, it's a dud.

For a semi-part-time photographer, this gimbal makes your work filming quite easy and fun. The battery life is very good and I actually was quite pleasantly surprised by the robust use of the device.

I am a Realtor, who in this age of "Social Distancing", purchased the Hohem iSteady Gimbal for video shooting walk-through virtual tours for my out-of-town clients. It is "Just what I needed!" This gimbal is easy to use, compatible with the newest phones(I have a Samsung 21 Ultra), the Bluetooth controller paired with my phone with no problems at all. It is very versatile. You can use the tripod or the selfie stick! Most of all it is AFFORDABLE($40) and Easy to use!!
