Great little camera fir the price. I bought this in 2017 to document a trip to Europe. It has been used on a few more trips over the last few years, until I recently started using it everyday in my truck after I got in an accident. Now it seems the battery life has severely declined since purchasing. My commute to work is only about 20-30 minutes and the battery goes down by half or more. Still a great camera, really good accessories provided. Just be advised, might need to replace the batteries after several years.

Many of us look to the internet to find an action camera comparable to a GoPro, without the expensive price tag. There are many options and choices, it can be really trying to find exactly what you're looking for. I've written an extensive review, with pros and cons for those who really do their research. For those who like a straight answer, here it is. The camera is great, for the price point. It has very good video quality and affordability. It may not shoot like a GoPro, but it is a great substitute. Compatibility with accessories is hit or miss. Seems to be made well enough.Video QualityThe camera is advertised, on both Amazon and Vivitar website, to shoot video at 60fps (frames per second) @ full 1080p High Definition. This, however, is not the case. The camera shoots 60fps @ 720p, 30fps @ 1080p and 30fps @ 720p. The footage is still really good for a camera under $100. Though it does suffer in low lighting. That is to be expected. The 60fps, though only in 720p is really great for catching 'on-the-fly' movement. It's smooth and still very clear. The 30fps @ 1080p is crystal clear and has moderate refreshing to keep the image smooth. I'd recommend for slower action. Underwater is great! Looks very cool.Waterproof CaseI had issues with the waterproof case it comes with. Because of the placement of the hinge, most GoPro and other similar accessories do not fit this camera. For example, I purchased a chest harness and head harness for the camera. The only way I could mount it on the harness was to have the camera pointing inward. Great footage of my forehead and chest, but not of anything in front of me. This is caused by the waterproof case. The hinge blocks the fitting from being secured pointing towards the back of the camera, which in turn, only allows for the camera to be mounted "backwards". The waterproof case holds it's seal. I've kayaked, swam, jumped from rocks, etc and it stayed dry.BatteryThe battery life seems fairly reasonable, though it is not interchangeable. It's lasted me hours of use, without issue. It charges quickly as well. Your option is to have 2 or more cameras and swap them between charges. (Just as with GoPros)CompatibilityAs mentioned above, the mount that attaches directly to the waterproof case only attaches backwards, in regards to how all of the aftermarket accessories are meant to be mounted. This limits the use of chest harness and head strap. I was able to use a float stick, "selfie" stick, car suction mount. I did make modifications to the mounting clip (attaches to waterproof case) by filing down a groove to match that of the case's hinge (See Photo). This allowed me to use the chest and head mount. Not extremely complicated and worth the time, in my opinion.HDMI OutThere is a mini HDMI (B) port to plug directly to your television for playback. I would save your money on buying a mini HDMI cord. I tried it out and the playback quality was absolutely terrible. The video was grainy and the audio was scratchy. The device is not really meant to playback video at that high quality.SummaryI would recommend this camera to anyone. The video quality for the price is fantastic. You must understand that you are not buying a GoPro. You will not get quality like you see in the GoPro commercials and YouTube videos. I have tried it two times during heavy rain and it worked perfectly . Only the app is little bit crazy sometimes and showed me strange errors like : No Sd card and the battery level was shown very low while it was fully charged. Both errors disappeared after restarting the app and the camera. Still trying it and may give a full review after a month . The seller have sent it earlier than expected which is good point .

It's great in terms of quality and price. It's a black box meaning the packaging is horrible. It comes in plastic bags with no book. You have to download everything online by yourself. Once you understand that it's pretty easy to set up. I've had it for one month so far. I used a 16gb card and it records about 5 min for 500 mb of data on 1080p. You can set it up so that it records everytime you car turns on. One bad thing about this product is that it has to be hooked up from the top side to record straight and upright. If you do this, you are covering the buttons and heat sink. A minor design flaw in my opinion

Only works with 32gb cards but otherwise works great and does what I wanted it for. My son to be able to record himself on his quad and stuff. He’s very into videography

So, as with many things in tech, the originals get way too expensive (gopro) while the knockoffs get better and better. Is this gopro level picture quality? No, but it is close enough for me to like it. The lens is really wide angle, and it comes with tons of accessories so you basically have everything you need for under seventy bucks. The kids have put this on their bikes, they have used the selfie handle (which is, of the accessories for me the most useful). Have yet to use it underwater, but the case quality looks like it should hold up well. Even better, it comes with a remote, which is great for those selfies from further away.In all, a great buy for the price, given the accessories and the remote, this is a no brainer.

Bought this for my 10 year old for his birthday and he fell in love. He takes it on bike rides, hikes, swimming in the pool and has even taken it to the beach. I highly recommend this for anyone who is looking for a great "Go-Pro" like camera for kids!

My son loves using this when we go for walks or on his bike. I would recommend.
