Bought as a birthday present for my 10yr old son, it’s a good entry level product that he’s very excited about using on his bike and paddleboard. Lots of accessories to play with and the app is easy to download. Good value for money.

This is a gift for our 8 year old grandson. He seems to have an intuitive grasp of computers and things electronic, so i anticipate that after showing him the controls, he will soon be a pro. He probably won't submerge it deeper than the bottom of the bathtub for now, but the case seems watertight so i don't anticipate any problems. I took several pictures and a short video to be sure it worked and they came out fine, but can't comment on long term picture quality. The camera does NOT come with an SD card. It stated you could go up to 64GB and I found an inexpensive one on Amazon (2 for $12.00), mounted one in the camera and formatted it. Formatting went easily once I decided to read and follow the directionsEverything came neatly packed in a hard shell case, with one battery in the camera (about half charged) and the spare battery was oacked in the case. One thing I liked is that the battery can be charged in the camera simply by attaching the included usb cable or by placing it in the charger. The charger by the way comes with two slots so both batteries could be charged at the same time.Lots of attachments came with it, mainly to allow it to be mounted on different type of surfaces or devices (helmet, tripod, etc.). There is also an app on Google Play or the Apple store that lets you transfer data wirelessly to your phone or tablet. I did not try that. The advertised remote control comes with a spare battery and even a small screwdriver to open the case to change batteries. I placed the camera in video mode and pressed the video button on the remote and it immediately started. Same for the photo button.One thing I did not like (although it may be I am so new to the camera. Whenever I turned it off and then back on, it defaulted to video mode. I would like to be able to set it to turn on to the mode of my choice.

I lost my other Akasa v50 in a crash and upgraded to this one and have no regrets. The stabilization is phenomenal, I use the camera attached to an offroad vehicle at high speeds and the image is very good quality. Wind noise is absent and the settings are abundant.

I wasn't expecting Imax quality from this little camera, but was still very pleased with the image quality that it produces.It was purchased for an eventual trip to Ireland and the water tite housing works great. Overall, very happy I made this purchase.

Initially, I found the outdoor video quality unimpressive. Clouds were blown out, the sky was washed out and colors were off and dull. After watching some usage videos, it was clear that in many cases, automatic settings do not produce good quality videos.I found that for outdoor sunny/light cloud days, the following settings dramatically improved video quality.ISO: 100Shutter Speed: 1/1250 to 1/1600White Balance: 5000Very cloudy days,ISO: 100Shutter: 1/800 to 1/1200White Balance 6500 to 5000App settings that improved video quality:FlowState Stabilization: OnChromatic Calibration: OnExport - Set to max resolution, highest bit rate allowed, and Remove Grain: OnAfter improving the video quality using manual settings, the large number of in-app editing options and the ability to get multiple shots using one camera make me quite happy with my purchase. I don't think it will replace my other action camera because it does some things better than the X2, but I suspect I'll often only bring the X2 because it does a lot of things good enough and a few things great.

I bought this camera for outdoor activities with the kids, biking, zip lining, etc. Lots of accessories included. The video and picture images are great. The sound quality is decent also. It comes with 2 batteries, with good battery life. Extra accessories are also very reasonably priced, including extra water proof case from the Akaso website (~$10).

I LOVE this camera! I used a GoPro Hero 6 a few weeks. I wasn't impressed. The quality was good, but I didn't find it very user friendly. I read the reviews on this and did a lot of research on GoPro alternatives. This was the best one I found and it didn't disappoint! The sound quality is amazing. I have only used it in the waterproof case so far and I'm blow away by the sound and picture quality. I kept it as 4k/30fps. The zoom quality leaves something to be desired but it's not terrible.I definitely recommend this camera! I'm very happy with my purchase!
