Great Camera....Can't wait to use in the ocean
I bought this camera for a trip to the Caribbean in a couple months. I wanted an action camera but didn't want to go in debt to get one. After researching and reading reviews on Amazon for a couple months I finally decided on the Akaso V50 Elite and am incredibly happy. I received it very quickly and jumped right into playing with this camera. It is great. Some of the reviews talked about its comparison to a GoPro, but never having one I have nothing to compare to.Set up was easy and intuitive. As soon as the batteries were charged I was taking pics and video within a few minutes. I was able to download the User Manual on my phone which guided me though it all, along with the app.I messed around with it in water in the tub and the pics were good, had to tell with no real subject matter to view. I can't want to get it in the ocean and try it out.If you are looking for a replacement action camera, or your first, I highly recommend this one. Will update after my vacation to see how it faired in the ocean.

The camera has been fantastic. My daughter has used in swimming, biking and now winter sports. Nice quality pics and amazing sound (even under water!)

I was not sure if I would love this but guess what I just love this camera. Amazing clear pics and videos. I need to see how it responds in rainy weather.

Great pic quality, taken by 5 and 7yr olds
I read all the reviews before my purchase of two of these. I was skeptical due to the reviews saying the picture quality was terrible. We went on a shark cage dive on the North shore in Hawai'i. My 5yr did video with his camera and my 7yr old did still pics. I uploaded the pics so you can see the quality. I was impressed. (We didn't know there was a date option until we uploaded the video and pics, so the date is incorrect)

Compact size, good motion detection and pic qualit
This is a nice compact trail cam with good motion detection and pic quality at a solid price point. I use this to capture pics of cars and people who happen to venture near my barn on my farm. We've had some theft problems and this camera works very nicely to capture intruders. So far I've only managed to get pics of a possum, a few rabbits and our house cat, plus some flying insects. The motion sensor works well, it does not go off for every small piece of dust or random leaf blowing by, but it does capture what I want to see. Battery life is not terrible, but as with other trail cams I have, it does get pricey if you use disposable AA batteries. To help with this I was able to connect an external 12v battery with a voltage converter to drop it down to the needed 6v. All I needed was the proper round connector and a couple of pieces of wire, (and of course the battery and converter). But it works great and the battery lasts a long long time, plus it's rechargeable.

Shocked
So I’ll have to admit, I was just buying this because I didn’t want to buy a go pro but this is awesome!! I did not expect to get the watch controller and 2 BATTERIES!! It has a great picture and and a pretty decent mic that you will not need to plug in one. I use this for taking pics and videos of cars when I do not have my real camera and it gets the job done. If it could hold longer batter life it would be great but you get 2 batteries so

Exceptional customer service
Great camera, awesome pics, good battery life. Perhaps most impressive however is the customer service. When I had an issue, they responded immediately and resolved it. Highly recommend.
