I used to own the HS80ms and although they were great, they were a bit muffled or muddy in the bottom mid end of things, which threw me off a bit. When I played "Papa Loves Mambo", the trumpet at the start was way too shrill and so I adjusted the High End trim by -2 db and upped the Mid by +2 and that evened things out, to an extent.With the HS8s, I don't have to do any of that so there's no need for fiddling with switches at the back. They give a stronger, more contained and flatter, richer, velvety performance which also exposes any harshness or over production in your mix.I've heard of a guy who prefers these over the Genelec 8040s and they are 3 times the price.So if you're in the market for a pair of monitors, save yourself a grand and get these for 500 odd quid. They are just amazing.

Sound great but they pickup anything and everythin
Sound great but they pickup anything and everything within 2ft. that can interfere with them. Router, phone, cell phone. Don't seem shielded whatsoever.

De lo mejor.
Tiene un sonido espectacular, superó mis expectativas, aunque solo cuento con una el sonido es de lo mejor, espero pronto tener el par.
