Second time was the charm, A+ for customer support
Update: Seller contacted me on their own initiative after seeing my review and offered a gift card or a new unit. I went for a new unit and the second time it worked like a charm. Adhoc WiFi was immediately present and allowed a connection. Image was up when I launched the app, focusing is surprisingly easy.Changing review to 5 stars based on customer support taking the initiative when they didn’t have to (I should have tried the first device when I received it) and giving them the benefit of the doubt the malfunctioning device I initially received was an anomaly. Leaving original info below in case any one else encounters the same issue I did with my first device.Google Pixel 5 sees the adhoc wifi show up rarely and can't connect when it does. So far I have yet to get it connected. Waited to long to try it out after receiving it to try it out so to late to return it.

Very Good portable Camera Stand.
Use this primarily when hiking. Plenty versitile to setup on slope or rocky surface. Holds my full size camera without droop or overpressuring the swivel head. Legs very adjustable. Only had it a month so cannot vouch for long term durability.

Great indoor camera for this price range.
The media could not be loaded.
I love the picture quality 1080p and it came with motion sensor and baby cry sound sensor, the sensor is very active which Is what I need. Both night and day view is better than my arlo.The only thing I dont like is no free cloud storage and when motion sense something it only record 6 second which is too short. But you can use SD card. The power core is a bit short for me to move around.

Quality Camera at Excellent Price Point
I have had this camera installed for almost a month now and I am very impressed with it’s overall functionality and the quality of the video. I had it completely installed in less than 30 minutes. I powered it using a solar panel, which so far has kept it charged at 100% (even on cloudy days). The app interface also works well and is easy to use. I now prefer this over two much higher priced cameras that I have. So much so, I have since purchased two more of these.

Great Camera and Great Customer Service
We've been using this baby monitor for about a year now and absolutely love it! The range on the monitor is great and the wide angle makes it possible to mount on the crib and still see the whole crib. I would highly recommend this monitor. We've had one or two questions about the camera and monitor since getting it, and the customer service at Eufy has been stellar and they have really gone above and beyond.

Great quality camera and customer service!
I love this product so much that I recommend it to both my brothers who have kids. They are just as happy! What makes it even better is that the customer service is great - they respond promptly and are always so helpful.

Very cute kid's camera!
The camera is so cute! The picture quality is much better than my expect! There is also game inside, my daughter likes it so much! It will be a good toy for the trip. Kid can play game on the road, and take pictures in the destination. Very satisfied with this purchase!

Camera great, mic not so much
The camera works well and video quality is much improved compared to my laptop, but the mic sounds distant and muted. I ended up using my computer's built in or a headset to use a mic for school calls. It kind of defeats the purpose of including a mic if its just going to be terrible. 3.5/5
