The Gskyer 80mm Refractor telescope is a very nice beginner scope. That means for looking at the moon, local planets and long distance viewing. Which is fine. Very basic, the scope's focus mechanism is a simple hand roller. It is fully mechanical, no automation. A very nice and solid tripod, at a nice height. The telescope comes with several lenses including a 3x lens. So you can get up decently if you take this with you to a mountain area and want to zoom in. Just not a super wide field of view if used that way. This is great for Moon viewing and planets and their moons. Still it is a beginner scope and completely manual. There is a decent focus scope with it, that is oddly trick to put in. It is made to be put in and immediately be set up each time you get the scope outside. I do wish it had an eyepiece cover. I looked and none seemed to fit. Overall, this is a nice, solid, well made beginner scope with portability and ease of use.

I thought I was going to have to spend 4x this amount of money to get a lighting setup. This kit was easy to set up and came with great little carrying bags, which will come in handy for storing it away when not in use, or for taking it on the road. I was particularly pleased that there's a second carrying bag for the flourescent light bulbs which fits the three boxes the bulbs came in. (I'd already decided to keep the boxes and molded styrofoam inserts so the bulbs were protected.) The lighting itself seems to be perfect for my needs: I want to film myself playing music in my home recording studio, which has almost no natural light and is "best" with harsh overhead lights. This kit overcomes all the lighting problems. The tripod stands were a little tricky to open at first, but I suspect they will get easier with time and learning the right way to apply a little pressure on the center plastic sleeve at the base. I highly recommend searching for and watching the YouTube videos out there where people unbox and use this kit. You'll get a very clear idea of what to expect and how to best use these.

I bought this to use with my Nikon D3200 to photograph a united states marine homecoming at night. This light is great quality and fits perfectly on my camera. It came inside a velvet pouch to keep it nice and also has an adapter so you can use the light on a tripod apart from the camera. The only issue I have is that it did not come with a user manual so sadly I couldn't get it to work the night of the homecoming (I couldn't get it to fire when I needed it to - if it couldn't find the subject it didn't fire. I'm sure this is my own fault for not knowing the correct settings but I think regardless a user manual should have been included. In the mean time I will look through other's reviews of this speedlight and try to figure out how to use it to it's fullest potential.
