Really great camera, especially in daylight
(The attached image is cropped way down, not the full frame)Great camera, especially in daylight, but it also works well in the dark (out to maybe 50 feet, after that it falls off pretty hard). In daylight its good generally, it does suffer with harsh contrast, try to place it such that the light is fairly even in the scene.Don't get fooled into caring that it can do big megapixels.. it doesn't matter.. The quality of the lens is such that anything over about 4mp is wasting space on your card... I can not see the difference between 4mp and 16mp - it simply doesn't have fine enough optics for that kind of sensor resolution to matter.Just the same, it takes pretty good photos considering what it is and the price.Motion detection is very good, doesn't false too much (if there is water in the scene all bets are off!).. Motion detection at night is really good, very few falses. Can't be beat for the price.. Simple, reliable and not too expensive.

Great baby monitor if you on a budget?
I really don't understand why people are saying this monitor isn't all that. No the picture isn't HD but I can see my little one moving blinking her eyes and I can hear everything. This monitor is great for the price. No WiFi needed which is a plus in today's world with crazy people hacking cameras. You can talk through the camera. You can also mute the volume. No the picture isnt crystal clear but I can see my daughters movements and the designs on her pillow and bedsheets. This is a great camera if you just need something on a budget to get the job done. I haven't ran it all night but the battery life is great in my opinion, I've used it up to 7 times for about 1.5-2 hours each time and haven't had to charge it yet. I did have to charge the screen upon arrival but it only took about 2-2.5 hours. I have no issues with my device. If you are looking for a camera that you can turn and do a 360 this doesn't do that. I just play my camera at an angle to see everything.

Ton of amazing in a little package!
Too much fun! Great image quality, stability, and more functions than you can probably use!I took it to Mexico for a trial run. I was able to get great videos on a moving boat, low-angle moving shots on a sunset beach, and anything I tried worked better than expected. We watched a big show in a large outdoor amphitheater, being able to fix the gimbal elevation at stage level allowed me to freely pan the camera left and right without having to worry about what would be in-frame.Yes, this is the first time I've used a camera on a gimbal. I'm completely sold.My only grief is that it is pretty difficult to use many features directly on the camera because it is small. I said difficult, not impossible, don't let that stop you from purchasing! You know that it is small when you buy this little box of magic, so five stars all the way! That said, I had the "DJI OSMO Pocket Part 13 - Expansion Kit" at my door the day after I returned (Better on-camera controller and BlueTooth/wi-fi connection).

For the price it's a great standard USB camera, bu
I want new, higher resolution USB standard protocol cameras that support MJPEG video on my linux systems (two outside views, timed frame capture, used to create time-lapse video of each day). This is a 1920x1080 UVC standard camera with MJPEG support and works great in all but one feature. Where I live it's very bright during the day and very dark during the night. The camera is auto-exposure with built in controls for adjustments including brightness, contrast and saturation, etc. The controls do not handle the light extremes well. Frames are too bright during the day and have very little detail at night. My 10 year-old 640x480 cameras handle those better. With the old cameras, daytime view has contrast in a white picket fence a few hundred feet away, on this product the fence is white-out. With the old camera, nighttime view is dark but well detailed, on this product the same view is washed out with very little detail. On this product the camera controls cannot usefully adjust either case. It's excellent value and probably works great for indoor views. UVC is generally supported by Windows and MacOS as well as linux.

Excellent quality at a reasonable price
After doing plenty of research on action cameras, I settled on the Brave 4. I bought it mainly for a motorcycle trip I went on, but I plan on using it for snowboarding in the winter as well. It proved to be well worth the money considering its vast amount of features and versatility.Features:My favorite feature is the remote. During my motorcycle trip, it's difficult to press the buttons on the camera to start recording. But the remote makes it super easy to start/stop recording video or take pictures while riding. You can also take pictures while recording, which is a cool feature. The camera comes with a lot of attachments which all seem to be high quality although I haven't used many of them yet. I also love that it comes with a waterproof case, and a slotted case. I used the slotted case most of the time because I was riding in a hot climate so the ventilation was needed.Battery life/recording quality:I also love that it comes with two batteries, and the charger can charge both simultaneously. While recording at 1080/60fps, I was able to squeeze about 70 minutes out of each battery on hot days. I didn't record on 4K during my trip for the sake of saving battery life. But 1080/60fps is perfect for many occasions.Qualms:The only complaint I have about the camera is the image stabilization. It didn't perform quite as well as I would've hoped, but still decent considering that it was attached to my shaky helmet. I think if I had used the handlebar mount it might've been smoother.Sometimes I also found it hard to know if it was recording or not... there is a voice that plays when it starts/stops/takes photos, but while on my motorcycle sometimes I didn't hear it. I found myself looking at the camera in my mirror a lot to see if the screen on the front was counting recording time. I wouldn't say this is a problem with the camera as much as my setup thoughOverall, I'd say most of the other high-rated reviews I've seen on Amazon about this camera are honest. If you're looking for an action camera at a reasonable price, then this is the one.

Great for the money
I haven't tested the water resistance, so I didn't review that part. The Akaso brand is a cheaper version of the GoPro. You're not paying for their name. I like the camera, it seems well constructed. The menus are still a little confusing, but better than the Brave 6 I have. My biggest issues with the Akaso brand is the lack of ability to connect any external mic except those they sell... and they only sell 1.On-board mic picks up a ton of wind noise as did the previous one. Image stability is good as long as it's mounted, but when I walked with it, shaky the camera man had nothing on me. To be fair, I was using it on a sailboat while under sail, so it's not the most stable platform, but for a camera marketed for "action cam" use, I'd think it would be better. This may yet be a settings issue that I can resolve, we'll see. The camera tends to turn things off in the settings when it powers off.Overall, this is my 2nd Akaso cam and I do like them for the money. I can buy 3 or 4 of these for the cost of 1 GoPro, so... I say go for it.

Great Camera, Great Price, Exceeded Expectations
I bought this camera for a cruise in 2019, we had several planned snorkeling excursions booked and wanted to capture underwater shots and everything. I also bought an extra battery pack that came with 2 more batteries because I wasn't sure how long they would last and didn't want to get caught without a battery. To my pleasant surprise one battery lasted the whole 4 hour excursion! Not only was I impressed with the batter life I was amazed at the picture quality! Seamless video from above to below water, easily able to switch between video, photo, and burst without taking the waterproof housing off which was a great feature.I have also used the time lapse mode for several DIY projects in the backyard again amazed at the battery life on this camera! The only downside which should be expected in a camera this size is when we wanted to scroll through and look at the pictures we captured, the screen is small and hard to see detail, however when you get the pictures uploaded its always amazing! We did another cruise in 2020 and used the camera again and had the same success! great for traveling for its compact size!
