This tripod is great for taking pictures with friends or alone. It is easy to compact, and can expand a great height. It is easy to use and the lights is very bright. I like that you can dim the brightness and change the colors of the light. The remote is very small which is perfect so that it is not visible in pictures, and if you hold down the capture button, you can record a video as well. The only thing that I didn't like too much is that the light isn't battery operated, you have to plug it into a wall which is a bit inconvenient. Also the remote has a bright blue light that can be visible in pictures, so I placed black electrical tape on top so you cant see it. Other than that the product is amazing and great for the price, I like he flexibility of the light and part that holds your phone or camera. I would definitely recommend!

I needed a decent light source for video calls; I'm on 6–9 sessions each weekday on RingCentral (Zoom underneath). The days are getting shorter, so light from my West-facing office window was not cutting it. I picked this, based on the price, and the ratings and comments. It has a suction-cup mechanism to stick on the back of a laptop lid, but I have a small desktop tripod with a standard threaded camera mount, which is what I use. Switching between on and off, and brightness level is easy through the simple button and switch.The User manual is straightforward and helpful.I cannot comment on battery life as I leave it plugged into USB power.

I purchased this light because of the suction cup, assuming it would be strong enough to hold the light to the lid on my laptop for the duration of the workday. Nope. It only lasted a few minutes until the suction leaked and the light dropped off.The light itself is great, is adjustable for not only intensity, but color temperature. When plugged in, its display will identify the level of charge, so you can track its recharging cycle. It will last 16 hours at 1%, over eight hours at 25%, 1.3 hours at 100%, so great for a workday. Don’t think the lower intensity for longer time is an issue. It isn’t. The brightness is perfectly adequate at lower intensities. At higher brightness levels it basically blows out the image, way too bright. The unit has a screw hole perfect for a camera mount, so I got a flexible camera mount tripod to attach the light to, and set up beside the computer for my video conferences, which works perfectly fine.I downgraded the rating for the useless suction cup feature.

I am a professional wedding photographer and I purchased this for a destination wedding I was shooting in the Caribbean. This light stand fit perfectly in a carry-on sized suitcase (straight up and down, not diagonally, as larger light stands would need to be packed), and is extremely lightweight so it doesn't weigh your bag down. As for when it's in use - this stand is sturdy (unlike my Manfrotto 'travel' light stand) and I felt comfortable putting a 25 inch octobox and AD200 on it without worrying it would fall over. It doesn't extend past about 6.5 feet, so its on the shorter side for light stands, but I don't often put my lights higher than that during the course of a wedding so that was fine with me. I love the way the legs extend out like a tripod, although I wish the release mechanism was a little easier (but perhaps its a good thing to ensure stability). BOTTOM LINE: This is a great light stand for travel purposes. It is lightweight, easy to fit, and is study and reliable. I will likely be buying another one!

It is set up on the tripod behind my desk, peeking over my SurfacePro which is also elevated to be at eye level. The light is big and bright enough to allow me to step away from my device to do large body movement activities with my music students. Again, if you’re teaching virtually, this is a game changer! Your image will appear brighter and more clearly to your students so they can see every action and expression as you connect with them. I have not needed the remote, so cannot speak to it.

This softbox lighting kit comes with one(1) fabric softbox, one(1) LED lamp, a remote control and one(1) tripod.Once assembled the softbox light kit works very well.It provides bright even light, perfect as a fill or back-light.The assembly is the hardest part of this lighting kit.In the close-up picture of the lamp base, you'll see a ring with several screws.This ring has to be pressed into place like the slide on an umbrella.The problem is, the ring is very stiff and hard to press down and unlike an umbrella, there is no pole to guide the ring into place.It took several tries and some wrestling to get the ring to go where it needed to go, around the lamp base.Once that was done, the rest was pretty easy.The diffuser fits fairly tightly, but the softbox flexes which makes it easy to slip the diffuser into place.Once in place there are Velcro strips on each side to hold the diffuser in place.I especially like that the LED light is adjustable using the remote.Brightness and color temperature as well as on / off functions are available.I also like the range of brightness and color temperature levels available.The remote must be pointed directly at the LED bulb which may not be very convenient at times.Especially if you are standing behind the light.The LED bulb has a large heatsink on it which keeps the bulb reasonably cool.The tripod or light stand is fairly sturdy. More sturdy than I expected.With the softbox mounted and the stand fully extended, the stand is still pretty stable.The main drawback of this light kit is the lack of ease with take-down and set-up.However, for mostly stationary, studio use, this softbox is excellent.I'm pleased with this item. I recommend it and will continue to use it.

I work in digital marketing and product photography, and this light is awesome! I watched a handful of product reviews before purchasing, and have to say that this is one of the best $70 purchases I have ever made. The construction quality is fantastic: solid metal housing (aluminum I think) and built in rotating bracket make this light feel super durable and expensive. Plus you get a pretty decent mini-tripod as well! You can easily control color temp to match it against any other lights you might use, and with a full-RGB spectrum, switching to colored light is simple. I didn't realize this thing also comes with animated color effects (i.e. police lights, lightning, etc), which is cool and may be useful.Honestly, I bought this light just in case and for a very specific video recording, but as of today, I've already used it in every product shoot I have done since purchase (for fill and some specular).My only complaint is there is no app-controllability of the light (for example with Sidus Link), but that's a minor complaint for a great light for a fantastic cost.
