The only negative I have found so far is that I will not be able to take advantage of gopro's instant quick video editing and slide show creator application. The touch screen functions well and settings are easy to adjust. So far I have used it for video recording my dogs and to take videos/photos of viewpoints on hikes. The wide angle shots are great, and video quality is superb. I can't wait to take it on my next scuba/snorkel trip. I haven't really tested the image stabilization yet, but the remote works well, and there is a very generous supply of accessories in the box. And an extra battery!!

Doubling the RAM was awesome. It's small light and it's easy to forget it's in in your pocket or on your chest. Super easy to use. A bigger battery would make it nearly perfect but I can't blame them for the laws of physics! Given what they achieved with something so small and light in being unreasonable wanting more battery

The camera works great. Had some trouble getting the remote to work, not really sure why that is. But, honestly, you can use your phone as a remote through the app so it really doesn't change much.Photo and video quality are good, up to 120 fps if shooting in 720p, which is nice if you like slo-mo.

i wanted to keep any eye on the back yard and since i already had 3 other wyze cameras (v2 versions) i knew i wanted to try the v3 version to see how the night view worked.i found that not only did the night view work exceptionally well, it worked even better than i expected it would work.i do have some small solar lights in the backyard so there is some dim light (over and above just moonlight) and i've found that the wyze v3 does an incredible job of enhancing that small light into a 'full color' view that is superior to the black-and-white night-time views that the previous lights were able to supply.going forward, especially for the price, wyze cameras will be the camera i look at initially whenever i need a new camera around the house.

This is my first video camera, so can't compare to others, but I find it easy to use, has some nice features and overall I am very happy with this item. I recently lost a key piece (the mount piece) and emailed them to order another (could not find the right one on amazon). They were super fast and very helpful. I highly recommend them! Update. So the camera has never actually shut off from overheating. I haven't had a stream cut short. But it does flash a red symbol if you use it more than 30 min. The symbol means that image stabilization is not working, one cause of which is overheating. But I've never noticed the image shaking. I've even left the camera on a few days and it didn't harm it. But I would recommend buying a different camera. For one thing there hasn't been a single firmware update. And it is bothersome that there is a warning every time you stream more than 30 min. And yes I use a capture card and even remove the memory card, it still overheats. Maybe later revisions fixed that. But maybe not.Oroginal. So I bought this to use as a webcam for streaming. I first used the webcam software (connecting the camera with usb) and didn't like it. So I then used the hdmi output, which can be set to clean, and a capture device. I liked that much better. It works and looks great.The major issue is that after about an hour or so of streaming, it begins to overheat. I've just put up with it, but if you plan to use it heavily, that will be a problem. Also, it's easy to forget that it's on and it doesn't have an auto shut off if it is running on ac power. So the thing will just sit there and cook itself.I didn't realize at first you can use any camera with a clean hdmi output for streaming. When this thing does cook itself, I'll be looking at a much wider selection of cameras.

I liked the accessories that was included with it.I initially had issues with it and emailed akaso, they were prompt and courteous with their response.I initially used this device for filming my daughters tennis matches but found it to be useful as a dash cam and recordingmy daily activities.

I purchased this camera as a gift for my 13 yr. old grandson. He had expressed an interest in a Go Pro. The V50 pro was rated so high and the cost was considerably less so I chose the V50 Pro.He loves everything about it.He wanted it for a cruise he was going on with his family but that was cancelled because of the virus. This gave him lots of extra time to learn more about his camera. He was so excited with everything it did and said it was the best gift he had ever received and I think it's the best gift I've ever bought.
