Good picture quality. Horrible QA
So I bought this camera so I would not have to run wires all over the place. I was excited to get it. When it arrived I followed the instruction manual and attempted to charge it. I originally charged it for 12 hours. I was excited and wanted to try it out even though it was still flashing. I wired it up and it worked great while on the charger. I figured in the FL sun it would charge the rest of the way once mounted. I unplugged the charging cable and to my dismay the camera shut off. Thinking maybe for some odd reason it needed to be charged longer. So I plugged it back in and let it charge for 2 more days. It was still blinking after 2 days. I hate the hassle of returning so I looked online and could not find anyone who had a solution. In frustration I unscrewed the cover off the battery box on the solar panel and found the batteries were still wrapped in plastic and would never have charged. After removing the plastic it is now working. Camera is a bit laggy maybe 5 seconds but otherwise good. I have not installed it but I will update after some use.

Reasonable quality, robust camera that won't break

I have a special shelf. It's lined with gadgets that represent my unfulfilled ambitions that I've tried to get on with over the years. You might recognize that: you decide to become the next Tiger Woods, buy the gloves, the shoes, the best possible set of clubs, set up your first golfing session, tell everyone about it and... never go golfing again. There it is, a huge bag of clubs in the corner, representing a simple fact, that you didn't really like golfing. So I made a promise: never get myself a top of the line gadget, or apparel, or what have you, until I'm reasonably certain that nothing can pull me away from an activity. I've been climbing for years: so after a half a year or so climbing in the entry level shoes I've gotten myself the best possible pair. Worn it out after several years, got another one. And happy about it. The worn climbing harness doesn't mock me the way those pesky golf clubs would. Here, I decided to dive. Signed up for my PADI certification, research the techniques, bought the flight to a good diving spot. And now comes the gadget picking time. Luckily, the culture around diving allows for renting of almost everything: except for the camera. And you need the camera, of course. How would anyone know about you diving otherwise? Videos you shoot, that's how! Instagram, here I come!I could get a GoPro, sure. But the golf clubs in the corner remind me that I should not. That I should get something modest, practice, get good and then upgrade. So I went on a little bit of a research bender to figure out what "modest but good enough" looks like for the action cameras. This one seemed to check enough boxes: 4k, slow mo in 1080p, decent picture quality. And, most importantly, it comes with a dry case out of the box!How is the picture? Good enough. A little bit overexposed for shooting on dry land - but I adjusted the exposure down in settings and now it looks good enough. That overexposure by default will work great underwater though. The mic is surprisingly sensitive. Definitely good enough for anything I would want to do.Is this a perfect camera? No. (I don't think a perfect one exists.) Is it comparable to the likes that cost 5x as much? Of course it doesn't. But if you get this guy and then upgrade a year later, if you are still shooting, those golf clubs won't have a chance to mock you. And that is something.

So far great camera especially for the price
I'm pretty impressed so far with this camera. I have an old go pro session, which is still going strong after 4yrs of use. I put both cameras to their best video resolution. My go pro was a little on the dark side while akaso a little on bright side. I can adjust that on akaso which i can't on my old modle gopro. The go pro attention was a little bit better but the akaso was not bad at all. I so far think this camera you get more then what you pay for and with the buy. I wanted 2 cameras so my daughter and i can record our adventures and capture ea other but i didn't want to spend alot for a 2nd go pro and thought i would take my chance. Worse case send it back. Well so far i think this camera is a keeper and if i find something i really don't like about it I'll update my review. If i don't update my review in a week that means this story ends happily and the camera has a forever home. Lol. I will not be using it in water so can't say much about that ever along with wifi.

Great camera - remote could work better
Great Camera!Couldn't spring for a GoPro for the price, so I went w/this one and so glad I did. I have it mounted on my motorcycle helmet and record my rides. Easy enough to mount and works pretty well. Only wish the remote and the smartphone app worked in tandem. Once the app is open, the remote gets deactivated.

Overall I'm quite pleased with this camera!
Using for on bike recording, mounted on my handlebars. Very stable video even with EIS turned off. Mostly recording at 1080P/60FPS. Seems to be handling the heat of Arizona just fine, have been using it in the waterproof case multiple days a week for about an hour at a time for several weeks now. FYI if you use EIS (electronic image stabilization) the recording angle is not 170°.After reviewing all the brands of this type of camera on Amazon I chose the Akaso brand as it seems to have notably fewer poor reviews.I would have bought the Brave 6 but that model wasn't available for immediate shipping at the time I ordered.

... with my SJ4000 camera for almost a year - love
I've used these accessories with my SJ4000 camera for almost a year - love them! I haven't needed to use them all yet but everything I have used has been spectacular. Great for documenting travel and vacations!

Very nice Action Camera - simple to use
Great bargain! Comes with tons of accessories, extra battery and remote wrist band. Phone app works great for hands free operation of the camera. Video quality is superb with up to 4K res @ 24fps and the stabilization feature is wonderful. Also receive free accessories in mail.

Ignorance is bliss, but this camera helped me figu
The very first time I set this out I caught cats, mice, and racoons on camera taking tour of my yard. The very next time I caught two skunks literally "in the act" of both making whoopie as well as busting into my crawlspace. Camera has been super easy to use, and battery life has been great for the last 3 weeks as I reclaim my sanity of being over-run by critters. Great price for a super useful tool, and hoping my need for this transitions to using it while camping and not just in my yard!

A very good video camera, great price
The photo and video quality are very good. The instruction manual isn't large, but the buttons aren't that many and with some experimenting I was able to figure everything out. The camera comes with a lot of accessories (mostly different mounts), and a spare battery.
