Love this for the price. I am just getting into portrait shooting and I am real pleased with this. The stands and umbrellas will work just fine for what I will be using it for. The stands seem to be well built. The umbrellas are not of the best quality, but if I take care of them, I believe they will last until I find out if I want to pursue this as more than just a hobby.

Use for confirmation of distance at public shooting ranges. Easy to use, read, and see. Accurate enough for this, I wouldn't try and use it for a civil engineering, but it's not meant for that anyway. I have used it probably 20 times and only charged it when I first received it.

Put this in family members eMachines and it work great and prefect storage size for them and made the PC way faster and it worked great so far been installed for few Weeks and it has Windows 10 installed on it made old Windows 7 machine come to life and fast for web browsing and Windows store games that they play

The price is in un-beatable, the quality is acceptable. Great for starting on flash photography.Cons: too plastic, not steady enough, easy to break

I purchased this light set as well as the Cowboy Studio 2-7' Light Stands with 43" black and white umbrellas. Comparing the two, both came with storage cases made of nylon with decent zippers. The ePhoto case holds all the pieces in its bag ( 2-7' Stands, flash brackets, 2-33" white, and 2-33" black and silver umbrellas nicely. The Cowboy Studio 2 Light Stand set comes with individuals bags for each stand ( holds only the stands ). The CBS stands had plastic protectors on the 1/4" screw tip, the ePhoto ones did not. The ePhoto stands have a few inch longer legs which should make them more stable. I like the quick release on the CBS stands. The ePhoto stands besides being a little larger, the tubing is a little bigger too. Instead of quick release, it uses oversized plastic wing nuts for locking positions on the stand. I bought the Hot Shoe Flash Swivel Flash Bracket Umbrella Holder Studio Tilting Brackets which were the same that were included in the ePhoto set. You have to be very careful NOT to strip the screw holding the umbrella. I believe with a small metal nut inside the umbrella tube, similar to how the wing nut holds the bracket to the stand, this would resolve this issue with these brackets. I have three brackets that work perfectly and have not stripped out. I've had great results and am having my wife whip up some sand bags to stabilize the stands when used outdoors as well as in the studio. I would recommend these stands to anyone, as well as the Cowboy Studio stands even though they are a little lighter weight.

They are good for the price. One thing I'd like to point out is that the reflective umbrellas are not good quality. It seems like the silver part is painted unevenly so some light actually goes through it. This causes the reflected light to have patches of dark spots in it because not all of the light is completely reflected. The fabric is thin which also causes the light to pass through. On the other hand, the white umbrellas are great and work as intended. The stands are pretty good quality although the knobs and joints are made of plastic. Just have to be gentle with them.
