I bought more for other areas of the house! They are easy to install and setup!

my reserach into DSLRs started in 2006 with the original Digital Rebel. DSLRs changed my photography for the better like nothing else. several years and some 10,000 shots later, it's still going strong. I saved my money until I could afford this fantastic camera and have been happy with it ever since.

 No dislikes about this as of yet absolutely loving catching wildlife I didn’t even know was in our yard at night now. Adjustable features for motion detection, video quality, choosing zones, just making sure you arm it in order to get notifications it will not work unless armed which took me a few days to realize

This is our first outdoor camera purchase. Love all the features that make it easy to use. Only issue is that it only records for about 10 seconds max. Can't find a setting where this could be changed. It never seems to start recording when they come into camera view at the end of the driveway all the way to the gate. I also get several notices each day where there is nothing but the recording shows what looks to be several "clips" because you can see the shadow from a vehicle in the driveway has moved from one frame to the next. At times those clips seem to be from totally different times of the day and/or night pieced together.

Really good build quality. It focuses well. The picture quality is good for the price.

Chances are, you already own a smart phone that can zoom in pretty well. This monocular does zoom more, and being able to hold it against my eye (or, in my case, my glasses), helps steady it a bit more. So, it might be worth considering.Mostly, I think it's fun and only moderately practical. There are some things to like and dislike about it, and I'll try to hit them all:On the plus side:+ It arrived as a "kit" with a separately boxed Anker charger, and a SanDisk Ultra 16GB micro SD card. That was really a nice bonus.+ It's easy-on, easy-off. No "press and hold and wait" for it to turn on. Just press the power button and it's working.+ The diopter dial makes it easy to adjust for your eye or your glasses so that images are clear.+ Setup is pretty easy. It takes a little time to get used to which buttons to use in order to navigate the menus, but once you get it, it's not a problem. I immediately adjusted the power-saving from 15 seconds to 60 seconds because I got tired of it shutting off after 15 seconds of not using it.+ It's fun! The portability, zoom, and image stabilization make this a fun device to take hiking when I want to look at a bird or other wildlife. In that regard, it's better than my camera.On the negative side:- There are only 3 zoom settings, with nothing in between: 100mm, 400mm, and 800mm, with nothing in between. And it only cycles in that order. So, if you are on 400mm, and want 100mm, first go to 800mm and then to 100mm. There is 800mm is a digital zoom, and as such it has a noticeable drop in clarity. At any zoom level, image quality is at best OK.- Yes, Canon has an app that connects to it, but I really don't care for it. It's two main features are very mediocre: First, you can transfer photos and videos from the camera to your mobile device. But it is SLOW. A 17-second video took roughly 2 and a half minutes to transfer to my phone. That is unacceptably slow (by contrast, if I connect it to my computer with the USB cable, the same video transfers in just 2 seconds). Second, the app lets you see a live camera view directly on your mobile device. But the lag is really bad (GoPro has a similar feature and it's much less laggy, so it IS possible to do better than Canon has done).- I think it's priced rather high compared to other kinds of cameras you can get these days.On the "probably doesn't matter" side, but you might want to know:Apparently there is a fan inside. At least, there's something. I can hear it whirring from the moment I turn it on. It's not distracting, but it's there. Perhaps the sound impacts the audio when recording a video, but if it does, I haven't noticed.All in all: I don't know what to recommend. It's fun, but probably not worth the high price, unless being able to quickly zoom in on something "on the fly" is important to you.

This little unit sits on my monitor bezel waiting for me to plug it in for Zoom meetings, video calls and the like. It affords very good image quality and better than expected sound pickup from a couple feet away. Image autofocuses well and the low light adjustment works fine. Audio seems clear, not tinny or "distant". My only minor complaint is that the attachment mechanism is not very "positive". It's really just sits on the bezel. The back bends a little so you can shape it, but there's no clamping or clipping mechanism. So far that had not been an issue. Cord is long enough to meet my needs. Privacy assured by just unplugging it when finished. Installation was automatic with Windows 10. Plug and play. No drivers were needed. Highly recommended.

It's a Christmas gift this year so I'll post more on the video quality when it gets set up.
