Great customer service
After about 9 months of use, our camera developed a foggy spot when in the night vision mode. I emailed the company and they immediately sent out a brand new replacement. We have loved this monitor and will be getting a 2nd one for our new baby.

Amazing product.
Love this camera! Made me feel secure. I don't have to pay a monthly subscription like the ring door bill, which is super good for my wallet :)Even recommend it to my coworker who is ordering it...See the live image Amaaazing :)

Good Image Quality and Sound
The image quality is good during daylight. Clear good colors white balancing, contrast is a little high but still looks good and you can play with the exposure and ISO. In low light it gets a little grainy like most action cameras do. At night the image is not as clear and looks softer and muddy. The sound is good could be a little louder with a richer fullness but sounds good enough as is and you can boost it in post. The image stabilization is good its one of the better ones. Build quality is nice and button press is responsive and so is the touchscreen. Menu navigation is easy and straightforward. The top buttons seem to be reversed. The red far right button should be the shutter button but it's the mode button and the other button that is the shutter button is towards the middle of the camera. After a few minutes around the 20-30 min mark the camera beeps. You think it stopped recording but it's still going. Not sure why it does this. There is no way to turn off the LED when recording so a constant flashing blue light will be apparent. It comes with a lot of accessories but my camera was loose and not attached to the mount so it rattled around during shipping. The case was also cracked. The charger has a USB micro that is not in its place. Looks cheaply made. The audio cuts off or skips when using the H265 codec in iMovie. Trim a few seconds off the beginning of the clip and sometimes it will help. I find the H264 codec has less issues and its great to be able to choose which one you want to use.You cannot have distortion correction and image stabilization on at the same time. The battery life is about average. I had a problem with my original purchase but customer service solved the issue so you can have peace of mind that they won't leave you stranded. I really like the feel of this camera and the look of it. It's not the typical boxy square shape and it is a bit smaller than the average action camera. You can also attach and external mic. I used the lav mic that is available not sure if it works with others but I got the one from Akaso. For the money at time of purchase this is a good camera.

Good Pic/Video Quality, App Could Use Improvements
The media could not be loaded.
The trail camera overall has good picture and video quality but there’s definitely room for improvement to the overall package of camera and phone app.I ran into one problem right off the bat. The battery tray would eject out about 1.5” but would not come further out. I think it catches on the curved battery holders. The amount it would come out was not enough to put batteries in it. The camera is useless in the field if you can’t put batteries in it (it does have a power supply port). After messing with it quite some time, I decided it was a bust and started taking a video to prove it. Well, I must have tugged just the right way and with enough force that it pulled loose as I took the video. I went ahead and posted that video so you can see it and have hope if you run into the same issue. Keep trying is all I can say.I’ve now been using it for a couple weeks around my home to learn how it works before taking it into the woods. The battery usage seems good. I didn’t start with fresh batteries (they measured 1.48V on a quality meter so they were good, just not fresh) but they still show 1-2 bars. It’s not taking a ton of videos being indoors, but they seem to be holding up well. I’ve also placed it outdoors for several days pointed towards a field and the batteries still show two bars in 30-40 degree weather. It’s not caught any deer yet but they move around in my area and it could be a couple weeks before they are back again and I didn’t want to hold off on this review any further. I did post a manually taken picture so you can see the picture quality (it’s at the highest quality setting).I really like the fact they included a memory card. So far, it has more than sufficient capacity and I have the photos and videos set at maximum resolution. This part is a trade between how long you leave the camera before downloading from it.I also really like the included wrist watch style control for activating the wifi. I found it very convenient. The rechargeable battery in it was dead when it came out of the package but it charged quickly. Without it, the very act of walking up to the camera and accessing the controls results in pictures and videos of yourself. I felt it worked well and like having it.The wifi speed seems slower than I expected. It’s not terrible but a single highest resolution photo takes 2-3 seconds to download. If you have a lot of them, it’s going to take a little bit. A single 30 second high resolution video takes maybe 8-10 seconds. I can imagine scenarios (been in the woods a while and there is a lot on the memory card) where it would take quite some time to download the pictures to your phone. Of course, it would be much faster to just remove the card and copy them via a computer but that’s not a good use model in the middle of the woods.I think the intent is more to download only what you really want rather than all of it. Backing that idea up, the app has no feature to “select all” in either the photos or videos portion. You must select each one individually. Unfortunately, you can’t “select all” to delete either. But you do have the option to format the memory card which solves that issue. The app, as installed on an iPhone 12 Pro Max, does not obey dark mode correctly. The text color is not changed from black so when the app changes its background color to black when the iPhone is in dark mode, the text is unreadable on the settings page. Changing back to light mode solves the problem but it is slightly frustrating to have to make that switch just for this app.I also had issues with the app crashing when trying to change certain camera settings through the app. It was repeatable on these particular settings (several of them) and crashed the app every time. It’s not a deal breaker because all settings can be changed directly on the camera and I made changes using the on-camera controls. However, it’s more difficult navigating with just a couple of up/down buttons and an “ok” button on the camera. One note on the app is my comments are as of Nov 28, 2021. I would imagine the manufacturer will push app updates and hopefully they will fix these issues in an update. This is my first trail camera so perhaps they all function this way but I really thought it would keep recording as long as motion continued during the clip. To say it another way, I figured the clip timer would be reset whenever motion occurred during the video so it would continue recording and you could capture the entire event. In my experience, the camera stops a video exactly at the length you choose in the settings. You’re then reliant on it detecting motion again to start a new clip. You’ll get numerous clips each at the length in your settings with a varying gap in between. The gap length between clips would be however long it takes the camera to detect motion again. I thought I’d end up with one long video clip of, perhaps, two bucks fighting. Instead, I’ll end up with a bunch of short fragmented video clips. The camera puts a time stamp and a temperature stamp on the pictures and videos. I really like the temperature being on there and find that particularly useful. You can see it in the picture I posted with this review. It’s also in the videos but I didn’t not post a video from the trail camera (see why below).Day and night modes worked equally well. Day mode is easy but night mode with IR illumination is a little more difficult for cameras at times. I felt this one did a good job across both and you can see it from the pictures posted.Note, Amazon only allows me to post one video. I wanted to post video from the camera to show its quality. But I also wanted to share the video of the issues with the battery tray. I chose the battery tray issue as I thought it might be more helpful and with the hope another reviewer might post video of the camera’s performance.Overall, I think this is a good trail camera although there a few areas for improvement as I outlined above. I’m anxious to put it in the woods and see what walks by it. For now, I’m going to leave it at the field edge and keep learning about its performance since that’s a much shorter walk to activate the wifi and download whatever it captures.

Love the alarm function, reasonable price
I bought two of these and they work great. Even during bad weather! Batteries last at least a month for my location which has a lot of activity. The camera quality is better than our ring doorbell. My favorite feature is the sound alarm function.

Matches Manufacture's Claims and functions great!
Coming from Wyze cameras, I would have to say that this camera offers a lot. For this review, I will separate it into 3 categories, the camera itself, the software, and battery lifeCamera:- Amazing quality on the camera, everything is crisp and looks like true 1080p quality I would see while watching YouTube videos.-Great sensor ability, did not have any issues with sound sensors or dust particles triggering motion- Slim and compact size, able to fit it right outside my door to see who's outside and see packagesSoftware:- Has local microSD card option and the cloud, has an entire timeline that shows exactly when something is detected and you can scroll to the exact time to play it- Simple to use and easy app, similar to Wyze, but everything is laid out there and easy to access buttons- Ability to record to my phone, use intercom to speak to the camera, and see status such as bit rate, wifi strength, and also battery levelBattery life:When I first got this device, I charged it fully and placed it outside my window. I live in a busy street and I wanted to stress and test out how long the battery life would last. Between early hours of around 8am till 8pm, there are tons of notifications alerting cars, people, sound and everything like that. From the results, I was able to last 7 days with on charge. Each day, I would get 100s of notification and this is somewhat resonabled.Moving on to my real ideal setup, I have this outside my front door. Ideally, I only get around 4 or 5 notifications a day, a max of 10 a day. So far, battery life is great. I am dropping around 1% each day. Ideally, 1% every day would be about 100 days, which is around 3 months. That's still pretty good and matches up to the manufacture's claims.Compared to a Wyze, I have to somewhat limit myself watching this camera. Any extra access to the camera such as viewing the live view will drain the battery move since it's connecting to the wifi and allowing the connection. This device shouldn't be used like normal security devices, but just ones to get alerts when you most need it.

Difficult setup, once it works it is fine
I had to go through an RMA for this door bell. The company communicated well and was responsive, but it took a lot of trial and error to figure out the issue. My home didn't have a door bell circuit anymore (previous owner tore it out for whatever reason) so I wired a new transformer and new wiring. I started with a 24v setting 10VA since the only specification was the voltage had to be between 16-24v. I read 28v at the unit which is within a margin of error, can't really fix it without a voltage divider. The unit stopped functioning after a call was attempted on it. I switched to the 16v setting on the transformer at 20VA. This produced 18v at the device. Same problem occurred so an RMA was issued.I was informed that the chime kit and a chime is NOT optional on these and need to be installed to regulate the power to the device. After installing a chime and chime kit the device still didn't function.I received a new unit within 10 days and bought a 24v 40VA transformer. I also had to start the camera on USB power for setup then switch to the transformer power. This made the camera work but the chime constantly went off automatically. I changed out the chime kit and everything works.A couple of notes for the company and other users:The english manual has some mismatched pages and implies the chime kit only needs to be installed on mechanical chimesTransformer VA is not specified in the manual but I highly recommend getting above a 30VA transformer. Voltage can be either 16v or 24v, but 16v transformers have a tendency of producing a lower voltage with the chime connected. Setup the camera on USB, then transfer to transformer power. If possible, flip the breaker for the doorbell circuit, attach the camera to transformer wiring, then power the camera with USB power. From here complete setup, and once that is complete turn on the transformer circuit. Once correct voltage is at the terminals then disconnect from USB power. This will provide a smooth power transfer.I will update if the camera stops working since this is a week of install post. Overall I like the settings and the quality, but the company needs to work on their troubleshooting and be more prompt about the functions and requirements in their manuals.

Delivers on features and functionality; some conce
These features and functionality are difficult (if not impossible) to match at this price point. I needed a camera that could function without a standard continuous power supply. This solar security camera comes to the rescue and I jumped on the opportunity to review. My amazon packages were being stolen, but also I caught a 'friend' in my house while I was out for the evening. I like my privacy and do not want 'friends' helping themselves uninvited. Made me wonder how many other times they were in my house -- potentially snooping through my stuff.Hence, why a camera is so important to me, part of this is because I want PRIVACY."Privacy" is a conundrum (regardless of security camera brand). I have just enough knowledge about technology to know that apps can collect a huge net of personal information -- and at quite granular level -- *especially* with a phone number. This app requires a phone number to operate.I work with software developers and marketing people, who collect such consumer intel. So consider my own knowledge base to be "Dunning Kruger" level (when you know enough to be dangerous and make stupid errors due to a false sense of 'knowledge').This UBOX app has controversial ratings in the App Store (but then again, such is the nature of App Store ratings -- most people only think to leave a review when they are frustrated).More importantly, I could not find much information on who owns UBOX the company. This makes me a little uneasy, because I would like to know who is getting my data, my phone number and potentially seeing what my camera sees. Again, this is about my privacy to begin with. Is this encrypted?I'd like to know if I could use this camera with a different software (I'm guessing not). This software is only compatible via phone and requires a phone number; cannot be used via desktop.Again, great functionality. Great price point. I just have some concerns that I can't seem to put to rest. I expect that I am an outlier on this front.
