Such fun for my sons!
My sons received this JUST IN TIME for the Perseid Meteor Shower and it's so much fun to watch the shooting stars AND see their excitement to watch the meteors through this telescope! My only regret was purchasing one due to the fact that I have two sons who need to learn how to take turns!

Not too difficult for true beginners...amazing sig
I purchased this as a gift for my husband's birthday. Neither of us had ever used or owned a telescope but had been talking about getting one for our family for a few years. This telescope arrived before expected and in great condition, we assembled the telescope the night it arrived and set it aside to wait for a clear night. (being early spring in New England we had a week or so to wait!). ON the first clear night we took it out to look at the moon. We didn't follow the first steps listed in the instruction manual to balance and calibrate the telescope first, but after about 20 min we were able to find and look at the moon and show our two young children who were super excited and in awe over what we could see. We plan on balancing it and calibrating it before we use it again (have another week of predicted rain) to make it easier to locate objects in the sky, but it wasn't too difficult and the images were amazing! I can't wait to look at planets and stars with this telescope!

Cracking Telescope
Easy to use, setting up is simple and results are great.My only gripe is the mount. It's reasonably sturdy, and I'm not worried about it tipping over. But the scope sits quite high so the centre of gravity is high. The result is a sensitive bit of kit, so when you touch it takes a few seconds to stop shaking. I'm going to hang some weights off the legs to see if it sorts it out.Saying that the mount has a built in bubble level which is rare at this price point.Red dot finder and scope fit on with dovetails. For the main scope it's worth sitting it quite high, it exacerbates the problem above but helps keep the scope clear of the mount when looking at objects overhead.Everything you need to get started is in the box, but I did get a Barlow lense and some filters, moon filter is essential when it's near full and skies are clear.SkyAlign seems easy to set up but mainly exploring myself at moment.Haven't had to long and weather's been bad, but details of the moon breathtaking, wow moment with saturn and cried a little

Brilliant. This telescope is great for viewing planets and the moon. Not so good on Deep space objects such as nebula and galaxies, however they are visible but just not that bright, apart from M42 the orion nebula and Andromeda galaxy (these two DSO's are quite bright and so they do show quite well).But you can easily make out the cloud bands of jupiter and lots of detail on the moon etc.I recommend getting a 2 x Barlow lens as well as that makes the planets even better.I compared this with a 130mm Newtonian and in my opinion this is just as good (although slightly dimmer due to having a smaller aperture and a longer focal length) but the planet size and detail of jupiter and the moon was about the same.I also ended up mounting mine on a EQ2 mount because the mount that it comes on is designed really for a quick grab and go or to be placed on a table etc., and I use mine in the garden so I put it on a more substantial and bigger (taller) mount.

Very realistic
I love this lamp! Very realistic and so much like the actual moon. And it's adjustable, with dimming in the bright white light and in the yellow-ish light too. Easy to charge with the included cable, to my laptop. So glad I bought this.

It’s like holding the moon in your hand!
Ok, this is awesome! You can change the colors, the remote has 4 different time settings for it to turn off automatically and when you are charging it, it still glows a pretty red color. It’s the perfect size to put on a nightstand and doesn’t take much space (haha I said space)!
