I've been using this camera for about a month now on my commutes to work. Sits well on the upper-right hand side of my helmet, easy to use: vibrates when on and then again when recording with lights to reflect what mode it's in, and it's recorded all of my rides so far without any faults.I was looking at several other cameras at 4x the price of this one and sometimes more. However, for something I'm only using for insurance purposes, this camera is ideal and ticks all the boxes. So glad I went for this one and not one of the pricier ones on the market, as I can't see what value they would add for me.I charge the camera before every ride so don't know how long the battery lasts. For the price, I'm not expecting it to last multiple uses. Also, I haven't been out in rain yet so can't speak for how waterproof it is. However, it does seem pretty watertight.

Hey guys, this is gonna be an interesting one and I hope what happened to me was a one time thing. Here it goes:First, before I get into the performance of the camera itself, my unboxing was....unfortunate. As you can see from the photos, I had some sort of severe water damage or something done to the inside box somehow, however, before I took the plastic wrap off, there was no signs of water or anything like it. Here's how it went: First I snapped photos of the front of the box, then I took off the plastic wrap and started to open the box. Immediately my box tore apart like wet toilet paper. I was dumbfounded as I could not figure out why the inside of the box was completely soaked, and the smell! The smell was terrible. It was like a pungent, mildewy type smell, like the kind you get when you leave soaking wet clothes laying out for too long. I couldn't explain it. The package felt completely dry on the outside of the plastic so I have literally no idea what happened. I've seen reviews on other products in the past of various products getting wet or having bugs and this or that, and I always thought that those things were impossible. Obviously not now. Like I said, this is hopefully some freak one time incident, and the camera itself still worked.Now, onto the camera itself. The camera itself is small, lightweight and easy to carry around. And quite literally, it is about the size of a fully grown thumb. The camera is easy to power on with a quick long press of the power button. Initially, it took some time to setup as the internal WiFi of the camera itself and my own home internet WiFi were disagreeing with my phone, as each signal was trying to cancel out the other. No matter, I followed the app instructions and after some tinkering, I did manage to get it to connect.The initial live view does have a delay (as with most bluetooth/wifi connected things) and the output quality is quite vivid in bright light. During lower light scenarios the camera does tend to lose some detail, especially in the edges of the frame. The battery time is respectable, as in my testing I have not yet had the need to charge it, but the camera can get quite warm in just a few minutes of use.As far as the accessories are concerned, it is a quite a good deal. You're getting everything from a cleaning cloth to a carrying case to a lanyard to tripod adapters to the charger, etc. You get A LOT. My main disappointment is that they did not include a MicroSD card to get you started, when some smaller capacity ones are quite cheap and that should've been a priority over some of the other accessories. I'm complaining about it, because even though you can use your phone's storage to save photos and videos while using the camera app, YOU CAN'T USE THAT FEATURE UNTIL you add an SD Card (unless I'm missing something in the app, but when I first got it, it threw up "no SD card" errors until I put in one, then it let me take photos and videos).I can't be mad at it, but I also can't give it a full five stars due to my weird unboxing experience and for not including at least a basic microSD card which is "apparently" required to use it. However, for the price, this is an excellent deal if you don't have the money to spend on a GoPro, but "IF" you do have the money to burn, I would still buy a GoPro. As such, for a budget camera with accessories, there is no better option than this. Even $200 Police-type Body Cam cameras on the market can't compete with the quality and ease of use that you get with this camera.If you guys don't need the best picture quality in the world and just want to use this like a dashcam or bodycam, have a spare MicroSD card, and may face a similarly weird unboxing, then this is a deal for you. I bought this camera about a year ago to use while Kayaking and was not expecting Pro Results from it,I just wanted a cheap cam to get the job done... Used it for Kayaking and it did Fantastic, Video quality is Good...But NOT 4k -- These Chinese Companies Use Fake 4k, It's Not 4k it's 720 at best with a Sharpen filter auto applied.And they ALL do it and should be fined for false advertising - But Hey Stupid Cheap Americans will buy anything if it's cheap.BUT I Actually do Like the Camera, I used it for the summer last year then winter came and I threw it in the closet and forgot about it... 1 day ago I pull it out to use for this Summer "2020" and Surprisingly it Started right up and the Battery still had a charge in it .. and the camera works great.BUT Do Not be fooled - The Batteries - Even the extra ones I bought only last about 15 Min while using the Cam.So make sure to buy extra batteries.Also 1 last thing - The Water Proof Case will fog up.

I've got to be honest, this is a bit of a strange review since I had previously reviewed this camera somewhat negatively and Insta360 reached out to me directly to resolve my issues. (I write quite a few reviews but I'm a long way from being a journalist or professional in this area).I have no hesitation in giving this 5 starts though simply because of the customer support I received and I have absolutely no doubt Insta360 really care about their customers' experience. There are a few places where the Android software isn't quite where it arguably should be, though I have no doubt they are working extremely hard improve it. (And I plan to update this review as the software evolves).I can honestly say that I would recommend this camera to my friends. Perhaps more importantly, I will now strongly recommend this brand to everyone.(I'm aware that I'm not mentioning the usual aspects of a camera - battery life, image quality etc- but these aspects are already very well reviewed online, just search YouTube)

My first review for this product was negative and I was totally surprised when Jessica a representative from the company contacted me to see what could be done to change my opinion. I did have a faulty camera but also had to admit some of the other problems I was having was due to my lack of understanding how to properly use the camera. Jessica sent me a replacement camera and this time I am reading all the material. I have gotten everything to work but the remote control and Jessica just sent me instructions on how to properly use the remote control.If you are looking for an alternative to GoPro, then you definitely should try one of the AKASO brand cameras. I make this recommendation because their product is very good and their customer service has to be one of the best in the industry. I can't imagine any other competitor offering cameras at their price point that would be any better. For that reason I have changed my rating to 5-Start. Well done AKASO !!!!

My motorola VM36 died after two years and I’ve been looking for something with the same features if not better.Let me just say I finally found what I was looking for! Nice looking monitor about the size of an iPhone 13 pro max. Picture is nice and clear. Panning and zoom ability with wide angle lens which is a bonus for when he’s old enough to play in his room alone. Comes with a wall mount which was necessary because I hang the cam right above my baby’s crib. FYI the camera doesn’t pan up so the wall mount helps. The price is pretty decent compared to all these other monitors. The temperature is more accurate than any Motorola monitors; those were about 10 degrees off lol. Not to mention it checks the humidity, maybe for when it’s winter and the heaters on? There’s a night light but I don’t use it. My baby has a ton of lights going on already but cool feature if you do use it. There’s good sounds I personally use the white noise. Good for babies that are sensitive to outside noise.The cons are really minimal and nit picky. I question why the buttons are organized in such way. The auto turn off feature isn’t adjustable. And I wish it had the time. Why is there never the time on these things?That’s about it. I just got this so we’ll see the longevity of it in a couple months. Hopefully I don’t have to return it because I love it so much.

I was looking for so long for baby monitor for my 8 month baby, I did my research I found several options but the cons where or to expensive, bad signal, bad life battery. After a few months of looking a finally decided for the DXR-8 OMG!! I couldn't made better choosie . This monitor is amazing it has great signal my house is two floors and love being on the Kitchen as a mom I have to spend a least an hour making food for my kiddos and husband, cleaning, etc. and I do not have an open Kitchen this was my concern that the signal could get all the way to my kitchen I'm so happy that it works great the signal is amazing now I can cook without worry if my babys is going to wake up and I can not hear him even my older son loves this monitor he loves talking to me and watching his little brother for me.The battery life so far so good, you can rotate the camera, the night vision is amazing, the volume is great, it gives the option for zoom x1 and x2 or if you like you can change the lens for zoom that its includes on the package and what I also love is that you do not need WiFi. So if you want to take the monitor when you are traveling or visiting the family you don't have to worry if the wifi is bad because you don't need it.So, do not hesitate and buying I promise you are not going to have better option than this one.
