Updated review. Much better with time and practice
Updating my review. Just so everyone knows, it is abs amazing camera, with things buyers should know before spending a lot. As this is a lot of money. It will lose power even though it is charging while using or exporting. Not sure why it can’t use the power from the charger. Next, just because you put it in the case, it doesn’t mean it will charge. This part is unreliable. To be sure, turn camera off each time you put it in the case. That fixed most of my issues. It’s a great camera, but... the battery life and limited storage make it pretty unreliable to use as a family camera. If you take a 10 min pro video, it will often be too full and low battery to do anymore without it being in the case for a while. It needs to charge for a while just to export, again will fail exporting if it is not fully charged and you have a lot to export. Last is the usbc. It will only use usb c charger cables that plug into standard usb. This is a rare cable for most people. A standard usb, mini, or usb c will not work. Making it hard to recharge on the go unless you carry their cable too.I don’t know why people complain about the app. Seems great to me. But maybe because I’m using an iPhone 12?I will say, their features are amazing and I love their innovation. Because of that, I will be getting the One X 2. That should solve most issues, just not as portable or wearable.Great job, keep going with development.

This is THE BEST action cam, irrelevant of $, with
Want to give it 5 stars. I'm doing an upside down mounted camera under my bike seat on my electric "ebimotorcycle" contraption that goes 70ish and is costing around $10K now. This thing has everything, it's insane.I thoroughly compared this to a Hero 9 black, and unless you really want a gopro and its ecosystem, this is the better camera, at least for specific uses, all of these action cameras work differently. This one works better than the hero 9, with fewer but good options.I thought what I did may be helpful to people so I came back around half a year after purchase to leave a review and also a quick "how to" to help out anyone trying to do something similar. This solution is the result of at least 15hrs of playing with various adapters, cards, cables, etc, which I also had to buy for this purpose, costing me around $400 to figure out what only took about $100 then send everything else back with wonderful ole amazon prime.Anyway, I decided to do a rear 4k facing camera that displayed to a 4k screen mounted on the handle bars of my bike, with a wide field of view like 165-175 degrees, as a complete view behind me along with side mirrors. engineering constraints: I wanted the largest screen which made the most sense for spacing and I wanted full 4k from camera to screen with no compression or conversions and the camera was to be mounted under the seat using the framing of the seat and a "bike seat gopro mount," which meant it was upside down which introduces a problem with image rotation. NONE of the available action cams, in early '21 anyway, can live stream anything beyond 1080p over WIFI, so just know that is out. The hero 9 does not have HDMI out, this cam does. hero9, you have to use gopro's media mod if you want HDMI, and you can't use a usbc to HDMI cable or adapter, they block it. with the media mod and HDMI hooked up, you have to click 5-6 times on the camera to display a clean view HDMI signal, which is fine if you're occasionally setting it up, but I want it to work at power on. This v50 elite with HDMI and micro usb connected, it automatically powers on when power is applied to the usb cable I leave plugged in, like I want, and it AUTOMATICALLY displays a clean view HDMI signal when it detects the cable.I then feed that 4k 60fps hdmi into a "cam link 4k capture card", then with a usbA3.0 to usbA3.0 cable into an OTG to usbc cable, then into a Sony Xperia 1 which has a 6.5" 4k width screen, it does sacrifice height for size and in a rear view case, height isn't important. it doesn't matter anyway because the app takes care of that. That phone is the only 4k screen under 11", in addition to the xperia xz premium which is true 4k but a smaller screen and more bezel, so worse for my use. i also bought both phones to test for this. these are both "mark i" phones the "mark ii" versions are being release this year, but are not necessary when you just need the screen, but also get the entire phone.using this v50 elite, a 4k60hz capable micro hdmi to hdmi cable, 4k60hz capable capture card, 4k60hz capable male usbA3.0 to usbA3.0 cable, AND a 4k60hz capable OTG adapter along with an app called "endoscope HD camera," "OTG Camera" once its installed, and the following slight modification, and you get automatic, full clean view 4k.This may be for my capture card, not all:The only bit of additional work that is required for a fully automated setup, is that you have to use that usb cable to plug the capture card to the OTG adapter instead of directly plugging them in so that you can splice the wire casing open and cut the red wire. Then you need to build a simple "555 timer delay circuit," which costs about $2 for all parts and takes all of 3mins to assemble, and attach it between those cut red wires. without using the cable, there is no way to splice that voltage trace to delay the power getting to the capture card by 1-3 seconds, so the camera has tome to boot. i found this stuff has to happen in an order to work properly. adding a small delay to the capture card starting up prevents that.anyway, to summarize:1) v50 elite on updated firmware from emailing Akaso-leave battery in because will not auto power on with DC power on, without battery. usb connected to switched power-mirco hdmi to hdmi plugged into capture card2) cam link 4k capture card-off brand is 20 on amazon prime, brand name is 110. both are size of large jump drives-(possibly, see below) needs usb cable for OTG connection with 555 timer delay powering capture card3) android OTG adapter with USBA for data and USBC for charging. "Type C USB OTG Cable" will charge your phone and also run capture card, just may need timing delay.4) "endoscope hd camera" app. name is OTG camera once installed. loads camera quickly, automatically loads to clean view and supports 4k 30fps, don't know if it goes higher but that's all I'm allowed, may be limited by phone. automatically zooms to fill the screen and can easily zoom out to full 4k view. i LOVE that its default is exactly what i need.5) pre-hookup usb and HDMI to camera, HDMI to capture card, OTG into phone, power into OTG cable. turn on camera, give it 4 seconds, plug in capture card to OTG, open app. 4k60 displayed at 4k30 or you can use 4k30 with image stabilization but that's up to you, I like having the extra frames to prevent skipping when the 30hz source and 30hz monitors frames don't line up in time.6) install screen rotation app that lets me flip the video to the correct orientation since I mounted the camera upside down.

Incredible HD pictures for a great price
The media could not be loaded.

This is an amazing sports camera for the price. I videoed over 1.5 hrs of skiing at Steamboat Springs, Co, in Feb, 2022. The positives - 2 batteries included, you will need it as the cold temperature will drop the battery life. Take both batteries so you can swap them out. It also has a mic that even works through the waterproof case. The pictures and colors were clear and sharp. Even with the negatives below, I have to give the camera a 5 for the video results for the price. Overall, the video outweighed the negative for the price.Neg - when you swap the batteries, you have to reset the day/time (unless its not important to you)Neg - I had to turn off the mic later as my helmet (rental) was making a banging noise as I skied.Neg - The controls may be a bit of a struggle. You can reduce the field of view (like a zoom), probably too many small increments at a time, it would be easier to maybe click 4 x, not 15Neg - I had to remove my helmet many times to see if pressing the button(s) started the camera, I ended up with some surprising runs I didn't know I turned it on for. For underwater shots, you won't have this problem. Guessing if pressing a button worked was an issue. Some cameras have a bluetooth wrist 'watch' where you can turn the camera on/off from pressing a button on your wrist.

Excellent service
We had purchased this camera 1 1/2 years ago, we have an old desk top, lap tops, I Phones, I Pads & Androids, it is up & running on everything! We live in very cold winters so when we leave the home we can check to make sure the temperature is always safe for our pets & so the pipes don't freeze. Really is fun to peek in on the kids (pets) even talk to them, once we checked in & the fire alarm was going off....hard wired fire alarms so they were all going off thru out the whole house! Called a neighbor had him do a check it was just a bad head. Now have the alarms set so we get alerts now if that happens again!Back to the original reason I wanted to leave this review, we had went to look thru the camera & had no connection, tried all the things unplug reboot....called the tech support on a Saturday afternoon, Jeremy was excellent, patient, & very helpful had us up & running again. So when they say lifetime technical support....they proved that to me today!!! Thank you Jeremy, we are planning on getting another camera to put in our attached garage so the question we always ask, "Did we close the garage door?" Instead of calling the neighbor, I can just open the camera & see! Peace of mind.

Wonderful, but remote iffy
I do a lot of bicycling and see so much along my routes (especially wildlife), that I usually carry a small portable camera/camcorder. But, by the time I get the camera out and turned on, that little fawn has run off into the bushes. What I really need is to be able to capture a video through my eyes as I'm riding. So, of course, I decided I had better buy a GoPro so I could have it recording right on the top of my helmet... Yikes! Even the cheap ones are expensive! Then I stumbled on the Akaso V50 and thought: that is more like it!After using it on several test runs, I can report that the unit works very well. The video comes out very crisp, even at 1080p (of course, 4K is better), and the stabilization (EIS) helps a lot!I use the remote control... and this system is where it could use some changes. The remote control is very inconsistent. The way I use it, it's only a short distance away from the camera (3 feet), but it doesn't always start or stop the recordings. The blue light on the remote sometimes slowly flashes which means it has lost communication with the camera... then I might move my arm a little and it will work! Also, it's hard to hear the beep that tells you when the unit is starting the recording or stopping the recording. That could be louder (I have the volume maxed now). And finally... when you push the button, it's hard to know if you've just stopped the recording or started it. You only hear one beep for either action! I would like to have 1 beep that signals the recording is starting, and 2 beeps to signalthat the recording has stopped.I would have taken off half a star for the remote problems, but I'm still very happy I found this camera!

hard to catch a specific moment
while this camera does work and does produce good looking video, there are a few caveats.I find it difficult to aim. I have to move my whole hat to get it to aim correctly. (not a real big deal though)I don't like seeing it on my hat bill while hunting, it is distracting. (not a big deal though)Not real quick and easy to start recording while trying to be stealthy with deer below you. (using phone)You don't always get the best shot (footage) when aiming down a rifle scope. You may think you've got the camera aimed perfectly until you review the footage and realize you the deer is barely in the scene. Ugh.When is it a good option? When you see or hear deer in the distance and have plenty of time to fart around with the recorder. It's great for a run through the woods.Would be good for recording a tutorial while you are working on something, though it's still tough to make sure you're getting properly framed footage.I still prefer to use an action camera mounted to my rifle as a sure fire way to get good hunting footage. At least you know for certain the camera is going to be aimed where the rifle is. It's also easier to push a button that is on your rifle to start recording, instead of reaching for your phone. While this seems like an amazing idea, there are better options out there for hunting.

Very reliable, zero issues, great pics
I have had my trusty t3 for about 7 years and use it daily. I bring it everywhere, I have 2 kids now 6 and almost 8, I take pictures of animals, nature, food, and everything in between. I have never had a single issue with it and people ask me to come over to help take (or retake) pictures that they get done professionally, or want help getting a good pic etc.I have no inclination to purchase a different camera since this one works perfectly fine and faithfully serves its purpose without fail.Although my Samsung s7 has higher mp count, I constantly choose my t3 over it because the quality, detail and depth are all completely different, my canon just takes better pictures!Highly recommend to anyone searching for a trusty, lasts-forever, high quality camera that's easy to take on the go or for quick snaps for selling, taking pics of babies or honestly, whatever.I originally purchased it to be able to take pics of my kid (back then, baby) with a high quality camera that could snap pictures of quick movements without getting blurry.I've since taken pics of dogs running, ears flapping, with every inch being in perfect clarity. So if you need to take snaps of pets, or get a pic of your kid playing soccer or ballet.. whatever it may be, this camera can take care of it.I'll never get rid of this thing. I'll probably pass it on to my kids as a vintage when I'm 80!Added a few random pictures I've taken throughout the years. Most pics are on my other sd cards, but just to show the clarity and quality, this camera is seriously worth every penny. It's perfect for small time hobbyists, or for families.

Excellent hardware and app, data secure
First off, I'd say ignore all the negative reviews with xenophobic comments about data security on this indoor security cam. Your data is stored in your country's servers and governed by your country's laws. And you do NOT give out personal info, other than a required email address (I use a disposable alias from Yahoo) and an optional cell number. To set this up, you need to download an app; the Eufy (what a dumb name!) Security app currently has a 4.8 rating on the App Store. It's really easy to use. And makes setup a breeze -- only thing you need to do is sign up for a free account with your email address (again, no personal info is asked for), to scan a QR code on the camera, push the sync button in the back, and enter your WiFi password. The app does not use your location at all (at least not in the iOS app), and if you don't want to use it in conjunction with a home kit system, you don't have to give it access to your local network. You can always save camera data on a microSD card (not included); a Class 10 microSD is required, and up to 128GB is supported. I opted for the cloud storage option for both convenience and security (e.g., a thief can remove the microSD card!).To update the camera's firmware, go to its "page" in the app, click the settings (gear) icon, go down to General > About Device, at the very bottom, tap "Check for firmware update." Once you're all set, there're a lot of options to explore. But for the price, this camera gives excellent day and night video quality and captures the slightest sound, too. This camera beats the hell out of my last indoor security cam bought just a couple of years ago for about ten bucks more.
