East app with clear picture. The rotation is great.

I bought one of these for $40 or so to try the system out. I've seen dozens of companies online but some of the "nice" ones cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. I figured I'd try this out and even if it's junk I'd only be out 40 bucks. Set it up fairly easily, it's wired so it plugs into a usb wall adapter. It has to have wifi to work and it really seems like something that is primarily meant to be used with a smartphone and app for notifications. It can be programmed to turn on and off based on a schedule or work with your phone to turn off when you're within range, or a number of other options that I don't use. It stores recordings on a micro sd card in the device or can store to the internet / cloud if you pay a monthly fee (I think its around $3/camera or $10 for 10 cameras for a month of storage at a time, per month). Theyve also got the option of having their security team monitor movement and call you and then 911. I like all this because it gives me the option to 'scale up' if one day I decide I want those extra features, or if I'm going to be gone an extended time. There's also the ability to set it up to sound an alarm if someone is detected. There's also a speaker that lets you be creepy and talk through the camera (wife hates this, so I don't use it). Finally, the night vision is pretty neat, it has IR lights that we can't see, but basically will 'light up' a small room to the camera. I tried it in my bathroom with the lights off and I could clearly see everything. In my main room it can make out the close details even with all the lights out but the other side of the room is faded. Still a really nice option. One last thing, I didn't think it came with a usb power supply or cord, but it does, so that's nice.Basically, for $40 I've got it set up in a location that can view all entrances to my house and send me pictures and a notification to my phone for free. If I ever go on a vacation I can pay for extra features. One downside of not paying for the online storage is that if a criminal breaks in and sees the device, they could just steal it, or unplug it, making it so I lose access to any evidence of them being there (since I'm storing the footage locally on the device's micro sd card, sold separately).For the price, it seems like a great deal for home use, user friendly as well so that's nice.

The best thing about this camera is that it's very small and compact. The image quality is good and it is nice to be able to hear as well as see what is going on. Instead of solidly installing it to any one location, I like to be able to move it around to various things I want to keep an eye on. For example, I've recently been using it to watch my two dogs eat so I can see if one tries to steal food from the other's bowl without me standing right next to them distracting them. For little things like that it is very handy.This is not my first product from this company, and Iegeek has always been exceptional about communicating and responding in the past when I have needed assistance or warranty replacement on devices.The only thing I can suggest for improvement is that I wish the base had a bit of weight in it to make the camera less likely to tip over if it is being used without permanent mounting; it does get a little bit top heavy if tilted at an angle. But it can definitely be used this way, one just has to be careful in positioning.

The Camkix shutter remote control works great on my android phone. The product quality is excellent.

I am giving this camera 5 stars because 1) I have had zero issues with it, 2) for having no wire etc. (its purpose) it is fantastic.I was hesitant to buy this because of the comments regarding the "fish eye" view and the battery trouble. My mom sent it to me knowing that in my last house I set up all of the wired ip cameras myself and that this was an interesing concept in that it could go places wired cameras could not. Cautiously, I bought one camera with system set up, to test out. Well, I am flabbergasted to report, after two weeks of being up I have had zero battery issues even though I have them on motion detect ALL OF THE TIME, 1 connectivity issues in the span of 10 minutes (which resolved itself) and great experience with the picture and motion detection. This is compared to the wired ip cameras which have the same or more connectivity issues and or picture issues in the past. I liked this so much I purchased three more for my house and I am purchasing another one camera set up for a rental house I have.Bottom Line Pros:1) This was easy to set up/install internet-wise anyone could do it...just read the directions...the biggest thing is if you are setting up more than one camera you have to "sync" each one separately.2. I have a "ICF" house which is poured concrete on a little over half an acre. All of my cameras are outside and ALL of them connected from the four "corners" of the property despite the obstacles in-between.3.) Get them up, download the app, then adjust how you want. I did this with the one. Then with the three more I ordered I took a ladder out in order that they cannot be removed without a little bit of trouble, installed them while looking at app. Of course, when it is time to change the battery I will have to get on a ladder to change but I have to do that to change my smoke detectors and cam lights too, anyway.4) Picture was clear and great during the day...tiny bit of "fish eye" didn't bother me.Cons1.) Have to get on a ladder periodically (I don't know how often yet) to change battery. I will report when I know.2) They aren't remotely moveable like wired cameras (I am only adding this because my mom missed moving the camera to pan around when she hears something.3) Night vision works better when I have the landscape lighting on with the dimmer setting in yard OR absolutely zero lighting. The street lamps threw off a glare with picture.4) You can only set motion on and off during specified hours (you specify) I have mine on all of the time and was worried about the battery. Now, the only issue I see is that I have to go in and delete recordings periodically.

This camera is great. Everything I've tried with it has worked out flawlessly. I've shot video, I've taken pictures, I've used timelapse, used the voice commands, and played around with the pro settings. I've been very happy with all of the results including some of the night shots I took. After taking dozens of videos and hundreds of photos I must say that I'm very, very happy with this purchase.

We use this camera to monitor our little one during naps and her sleep. Generally the camera is pretty good and the feedback I have is moreso around the app. It's great being able to add family members and such but wish it was more intuitive and easier to manage such as being able to control what they can and cannot do. The sensitivity levels also need to be improved on the motion detection. It goes from not picking up anything to picking up shadow movements with nothing in between. The app doesn't also seem to alert if it has been force closed before. The night vision is great and offers up great visibility, we had to tape up the red dot though, otherwise baby just stares at it and won't go to bed.
