Although my wife and I have only had this sound/sleep machine for a few weeks, we're very impressed with the lifelike quality of the various sounds it produces. And the way it automatically increases volume when "outside" noise appears in the room is pretty neat.We're partial to the Ocean sound at bedtime; aren't sure yet if we're actually sleeping better, but at least we aren't sleeping worse to the pleasant and relaxing background sounds.

I was looking for something to help me relax at night while reading and something with a timer that would shut off when I fall asleep. I like the expanded selection of sounds. My favorites tend to lean towards the fire cracklings and rain sounds. This machine is made very well and is I believe a good investment. I would definitely recommend this purchase.

I have always used a radio to fall asleep to. I have tinnitis in both ears and low sounds help to overcome the problem Trouble is, I tend to listen to the radio which keeps me awake so I ordered this unit. Small, compact design and all controls are easy to operate. Does light up, but you can set to black out as default. Nice selection of sounds, I use the wave effect, and sometimes the Meadow effect. Interesting that you can "richen" the sounds to include more background (seal barking, seagulls, ship's bell etc. Fell asleep the first night and use it every night since then. Excellent product!!

I do not usually write product reviews, but my experience with Sound / Sleep warrants a very positive review. I purchased my system in July 2013. We loved it from the start, especially the rainfall, brook and our favorite, ocean sounds. It very quickly became so important to our restful sleep, that it was very difficult to go without. I am an early riser, so I would turn the sound way up when I woke and this way would never disturb my husband's sleep as I unloaded the dishwasher, or listened to the news, or did other noisy tasks. The sounds are so natural and so peaceful it solved many of our sleep issues. When the system just stopped working one evening, we were stunned. We went to the diagnostic pages and tried everything we could. I have to admit we are both rather low tech, and the solution was probably there, but we couldn't get it to work. I called the service department of their company, where a very competent gentleman realized the best thing he could do was to exchange the system for us. He did so immediately, it arrived in a couple of days, even in the Christmas rush, and we were back with our ocean sounds lulling us to sleep again. In this day of "no-service service" it was a delight to work with them. I highly recommend this product.
