Simple and Straightforward Setup
I liked the ease of setting this camera up. I had purchased a different type and had nothing but trouble getting it to connect to Wi-Fi so I returned it. This was simple and straightforward. I’m also very impressed with the quality of the picture, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but when we hooked it up, the clarity was amazing.

Quality video, easy set up, solar/cellular securit
The media could not be loaded.
I was a bit hesitant on making this purchase due to the cellular service requirement and solar charging.Image quality is better than I expected! Installation was simple. Basically just plug and play (without the plug). We bought this camera to monitor the garage, that has all my husband’s tools.The ease of use and ability to no need for power makes this solar camera excellent.Super good image quality even when the lights go off.I also like the record when motion is triggered and the notification I get, you can save the video you need a Micro SD card for that (up to 128GB, not included). It has two way audio also.

Does the job
I had previously purchased WiFi range extenders from my ISP. Those were horrible. They extended the range but brought the speed to a slow crawl. Literally, we went for 1000+ Mbps to about 7 Mbps. So I returned those. But now I needed an extender to reach an outdoor security camera. So, with some trepidation, I bought this one. Though I could not set it up through WPS, even with the device within three feet of my router, I could easily set it up through the alternative route. And when I placed it near the security camera, it gave a good connection. It has not slowed our internet speed on other devices. I do recommend these.

Great company! Highly Recommend.
Very impressed with Infant Optics. This is my second camera with them, I used to have the older model that is now discontinued and upgraded to this one after having my second child. Very reliable camera, great range. And does NOT need to be connected to WIFI which was important to me. But more than that, what I like about this brand is the customer service. My monitor broke 2 years after purchase (so well outside of the warranty), regardless, when I reached out to CS the representative offered a free replacement after troubleshooting failed and with expedited 2 day delivery! I was honestly so grateful because it is so stressful to not be able to see my babies at night. Thank you Infant Optics, highly recommend!

Good buy and good night!
First time Mom here. I didn't realize separation anxiety was going to be a real problem. After having our son sleep in his room alone for the first time it became clear we needed to be able to keep an eye on him if anyone was going to get some sleep. After doing copious amounts of research for the right monitor to fit our needs the Optics DXR-8 seemed like the right choice. We like it very much. The screen is clear, the sound is clear and it is so nice being able to adjust the camera angle from the other room. I kind of wish the camera angled down a little further, but that's not a huge deal. Overall this monitor is perfect for us.

Need most recent version of the software
The hardware seems decent. The gears are a bit noisy, however. I do wish for a better mounting system. It is very hard to get the set screw installed. The images are acceptably clear, day and night. POE works great. I had to buy an inexpensive POE injector since my LAN is not POE. Hard wired ethernet is the way to go as wireless is way too flaky (and can be hacked). There are a lot options/fields, most of which are not explained. So if you are not a trained security camera person, good luck!NOTE: The HiP2P IP CAMERA software must be version 6.5.1.1 or above! None of the JideTech web pages currently have to proper version of this software. For me, the SearchTool worked the first and every time.:NOTE

Outstanding Customer Service
I had a camera/monitor that was not working properly. Decided to contact manufacturer (Infant Optics).I received a response almost within 20 minutes (on a Friday afternoon no less) with things to try etc... That was exemplary customer service right there.However, it got better.. Several emails later (from Emma - cust service rep), and exhausting all methods to resolve my issues, I was told I would be getting a new replacement camera. The unbelievable thing here was that all this correspondence took place on Sat-Sun and Monday of Memorial Day weekend!. Personally I'm overwhelmed at this level of response/service... If I owned a company and this is the type of service I got I'd hire 10 more Emma's...THANK YOU!

please read before buying
iv had this for almost a year .This is a system best if use one camera .its absolutely slow . by the time the app shows you an image the crime is over . you cannot quickly switch between cameras . it will tell you camera is busy . the app caters to those who pay for premium . and its not cheap .and were talking basic functions like select and select all especially when wanting to clear up storage .best to use a computer for deleting files . if youre looking for a solid quick response security cam set . this isnt it . it doesnt even motion detect correctly . i just had someone come into my driveway with no detection . the sad part is this is a software issue and can absolutely be improved .

Great customer service!
I’ve been using this camera system for my 2 girls. I like how it scans between their 2 rooms/cameras. Easy to add an additional camera. I’ve had great coverage/signal strength. I had an issue with my first monitor not holding charge and it was still under warranty and they replaced the monitor for me for free. 2 years later the hole where I plugged in adapter got pushed in (this thing has taken a beating over the years from my toddlers playing and throwing it) and because it was over warranty time they still gave me a big discount on a new monitor. Overall I would highly recommend this system because it is a great product and the customer service is so great and prompt.
